Predictions:
Yotes win 76-55 (Massey) -21 Yotes win 73-57 (Warren Nolan) -16 Yotes win 81-49 (ELO) -32
Last time out, ELO almost nailed the KC game score, and was also the closest for the ORU game.
I'll go with ELO.

Players to watch (from the UND pre-game article) Kacie Borowicz leads the Fighting Hawks on offense this season. She averages 17.2 points per game and averages 33.0 minutes per game. Against the Bison, Borowicz netted 25 points while playing 40 minutes. From the free throw line, she has made 41-42 free throws this season. She reached a new single-game record for most made in a game at UND with her 20-20 against Montana State. Olivia Lane earned a double-double against the Bison on Dec. 22. She scored 13 points and secured 11 rebounds. During the game, Lane alongside Manson helped push the Fighting Hawks to their first lead in the second quarter. They each scored three points to try to push past the Bison. Lane currently sits at 12.5 points per game and 7.8 rebounds per game. She has scored in the double digits in six of the eight games she has played in this season, and she has a scored a total of 100 points.

I don't think this is going to be as big a blow out as you think. This years team is much better than team they put on the floor from last year and were whole lot healthier than we were last year but still missing several players. The thing i see we do match up with you in size inside and i think we match up very well at guard postions too. the difference i will believe will be Lamb we will have hard time matching up and controlling her and not getting in foul trouble controlling her. Sjerven will still be presence but i believe that between Lane and Leet she will earn her points on the inside. Last year Borowicz was hurt most of the season but this year she is coming into her own offensively. This team here at UND is improving but were not there to move to top of the Summit this year. We have played good part of preseason without Borowicz, Lane, and Gordon who was lost to season ending injury all three starters for the team. This is why i am saying were improving as team and learning to play together because were behind because of loss of playing time. I look at next year and year after that where we will be contending, we have very good recruiting class coming in for next year and we will see how redshirt freshman look next year plus we will be getting back couple of injured players for next year. Things are looking up for women's basketball at UND. I may be wrong on this but i think this could be very good game and may come to down to the end but i have been wrong on this before on predicting games.

I don't think this is going to be as big a blow out as you think. You're probably right. Game predictions are rarely on-target. if -31 was the betting line I'd probably bet on UND to beat the spread. It's just a really high number. Things happen. shooters have slumps, etc. I would, however put a bunch of money on UND not scoring more than 60 points. The Yotes' defense has really dialed in since the Paradise Jam Tournament. If UND gets hot from the arc, then maybe. But you won't get there with 2-pointers. This years team is much better than team they put on the floor from last year and were whole lot healthier than we were last year but still missing several players. I agree. Your record and stats show an improved team, no doubt. The thing i see we do match up with you in size inside and i think we match up very well at guard positions too. the difference i will believe will be Lamb we will have hard time matching up and controlling her and not getting in foul trouble controlling her. Sjerven will still be presence but i believe that between Lane and Leet she will earn her points on the inside. I disagree. You may be underestimating our depth at guard, too. Although Lamb gets off the most shots, Korngable is capable of taking over a game offensively, too. And Watson and Krull seem to have come out of their shooting slump.
Sjerven is more than a handful, and is playing very smart this year. It's much more difficult to simply target her and get her benched with fouls. She is just as likely to do the same with your starters. Depends how the refs call it. Lane will have a tall task (pun intended). UND had a lot of size and skill at forward/center last year, but still had trouble with Sjerven.Last year Borowicz was hurt most of the season but this year she is coming into her own offensively. This is very interesting. I hadn't realized Lane and Borowicz were out for a chunk of the preseason. Well, that bodes well for your season that they are back. Well, that's good about your recruiting. I'm all for Summit teams raising the bar so the whole profile gets better. I'll root for UND as long as they have put the Travis Brewster strategy of a foul-fest in the rear view mirror.Good luck!

UND's last 5 games: w/l | opponent | NET | score | W | Minnesota Morris | D-III | 97-55 | L | @ Marquette | 73 | 65-89 | W | Mayville St | NAIA | 72-65 | W | @ Detroit Mercy | 338 | 70-60 | L | NDSU | 155 | 61-67 |
Marquette is a very good team, but so are we. I think it's fair to guess our outcome might be similar. Marquette won by 24 points. I think our defense is probably better than Marquette's, and we prefer to shorten the game and limit possessions when we are ahead. Our 90-point game vs ORU is a bit of an outlier. I'll go with Yotes 78-55.

UND's Dec 15 game against NAIA Mayville State was a bit surprising. That was a 4 point game with 0:14 left in the regulation.

Good to see Mandy Koupal in the house tonight! And she could still probably go out there and get 20 and 10.

Well, that was over about four minutes into the game. Enough said about that. The bench got a lot of playing time and I thought performed very well actually increasing the lead against many of their starters. That's great to see.

I haven’t gotten to see the game yet, but I’ll admit I was surprised by the final score. Pleasantly surprised mind you. That’s a team we always seem to struggle with in the past, only because they always “ugly” up the game and make it not basketball. Go Yotes!!
