Chloe returned to the game and played well, unless I missed something at the game!

Chloe was visibly limping when she went back in. Made that one hard sprint for a layup and a pull up but then really looked hobbled. I hope it’s just a minor injury that may cost a game or two vs long term. She’s having a MVP type of season.

Lady Yotes stopped giving up back cuts in 1st Q, held ST scoreless from 2nd half 2nd Q through 1st half of 3rd Q, got the O rolling and cruised to the win!!

I hope the early season struggles on offense aren't creeping back in. It certainly isn't the only thing to measure, but the Yotes were 6-32 from three in these two games. Watson was 3-5, everyone else was 3-27.

I understand the concern of not being able to shoot from the 3, but let’s be honest, they will survive bad 3 pt shooting against almost every summit league team, maybe minus SDSU. They aren’t a great shooting team, but wow is this defense first class. It’s not the 30-2 team from a few years ago, they’re a different team. But they are still very good. Still a very fun team to watch.

Still a very fun team to watch. They're not nearly as good offensively, but they're better on the defensive end. Picking nits, I know, and, like you said, they're still very good. Standout defensive ability is a lot more subtle than putting on a show with offense firepower and probably not appreciated as much.

Still a very fun team to watch. The Coyotes can dominate in the Summit because they really can't be stopped very consistently on the inside. If the goal is to complete a bit better with the power programs I think better 3 point shooting is darn near a necessity. Those teams can take away the inside game but even with an advantage in athleticism it is very hard to stop a team with good ball movement that gets good looks from the arc. That was one of the biggest reasons the Coyotes beat Oregon and the other programs they defeated on the way to the WNIT title. I would like to see the Coyotes recruiting put more emphasis on outside shooting. Not that they don't emphasize it necessarily but maybe they could a bit more. Kyah Watson is a really nice player to have. She is physical, can play D and can shoot from outside. Just the kind of player that is going to really help a team.
