At this point, I'd just like a coach. The uncertainty will only increase the odds of more players entering the portal. Eric did a good job with damage control and now we need a Women's coach to start the same thing.

If we assume that a coach that is interviewing for jobs might be staying off of twitter....
Kim hasn't tweeted since April 4 Carrie hasn't tweeted since March 29
Molly tweeted yesterday Kayla hasn't tweeted since March 24
Emilee tweeted today Amber hasn't tweeted since March 31 Bart hasn't tweeted since October.......(doesn't use twitter much)
I'll let you look at the rest. Of course, I think the odds are good that the coach will come from the field (not on this list). Who knows, really.

Here's a take (not necessarily a good one, but it's mine):
Regional recruiting is a big deal for us at USD. If we are going to get a coach without regional (midwest) recruiting ties, he/she had better be a home-run! Kim or Molly qualify as non-regional home runs. Not sure who else would.
We could do much much worse than Carrie or Kayla. As an example: both coaches follow/are followed by a ton of the girls we recruited or are currently recruiting, including Joy Bergstrom, Avery Broughton, Addison K, Claire Shepard, etc., so I would assume both have had some recruiting contact with a bunch of them already.
Personally, I'd go with Carrie due to the extensive head coaching experience in a tough (MIAA) D-2 conference. But I would be very happy with Kayla, too, especially from a recruiting standpoint.
Edit: I'd add Linda S. from Creighton to the list of coaches with extensive regional recruiting ties....

Personally, I don't see DH hiring a coach without HC experience.

Personally, I think I'm officially on the Carrie Eighmey bandwagon. We did well last time with a coach who had a unique name I don't know how to pronounce so why not give it another go. I think I'll give Herbster a call: Hello, Dave? This is (insert name here)...click.

I don’t know much about the coaches listed unfortunately. What’re their playing styles? Dawns defense will be hard to replicate but I do think that solid defense is an identity that DH will look to continue.

You can win with more than one style of play.
