Meet the Jacks:
Outside Hitter Crystal Burk plays all six rotations for the Jacks and averages 4.24 kills and 3.26 digs per set this year, which rank first and second on the team, respectively. She notches 4.30 kills per set in conference games, which ranks second in the Summit behind USD's Elizabeth Juhnke (5.78 kills per set). She ranks seventh in the nation in total kills (382), seventh in total points (425) and 10th in total attacks (1,041). Burk continues to climb a number of SDSU's career charts. With seven attacks against the Coyotes Friday she will become the Jackrabbits' all-time career attacks leader. Setter Raegen Reilly dishes 10.13 assists per set in Summit games, ranking third in the league. Her 885 total assists this season ranks 15th in the nation. Reilly's 885 total assists is fourth in a single season in the program's 25-point rally scoring era. Six assists against USD will bring Reilly's total to 891, which would rank third. Reilly is tied for first on the team (22) in total service aces. Libero Jadyn Makovicka notches 3.36 digs per set overall and 3.93 in Summit games. Middle Blocker Sydney Andrews averages a team-best 1.01 blocks per set. Middle Blocker Ella Thompson is second on the team in kills per set with 2.23 kills per set.

Meet the Yotes:
Junior all-American outside hitter Elizabeth Juhnke continues to lead the nation in kills and kills per set. Juhnke recorded a league record 39 kills in South Dakota's five-set match against NDSU on Sept. 27. The 39 kills set a USD program record and set the mark for most kills in a match in the NCAA this season. Juhnke also set a USD three-set program record with 24 kills in South Dakota's 3-0 sweep of Oral Roberts on Oct. 13. Junior middle blocker Madison Harms led the Coyotes to a 3-2 reverse sweep of Denver last week with a career-high 13 blocks, which ties for second in the five-set program record. Senior Outside Hitter Aimee Adams totaled seven kills with no errors to hit .368 as the Coyotes snapped Omaha's eight-game winning streak last week. Fifth-year defensive specialist Lolo Weideman continues to lead the Summit in digs per set. Weideman hit a career-mark in the Sept. 24 Denver match, totaling 34 digs and matching the four-set program record. Junior Setter Brooklyn Schram is second in the league in Assists.

I think we will have a good crowd in the SCSC on Friday, based on several trends:
In 2019, we got 1631 to attend vs SDSU. This is the #2 or #3 highest regular-season attended game in Summit League history. It was on a TUESDAY NIGHT late in the season (Nov 5) with USD #1 and undefeated in conference play, against a very bad SDSU team.
In 2019 a few days later we got 1758 to attend vs NDSU. This was the #1 or #2 highest regular-season attended game in Summit History. It was on a FRIDAY NIGHT late in the season (Nov 8) with USD #1 and undefeated, against a good NDSU team (6-7, #6).
In 2020 attendance was messed up
In 2021 we got 1584 to attend vs SDSU. It was on a FRIDAY NIGHT early in the season on September 24. Summit league play had only just started, and USD was 4-6 (1-0). SDSU was 8-4 (0-1).
Although we don't have the momentum of an undefeated regular season, We are #1 in conference play late in the season. Fridays should out-draw Tuesdays, and with no home Football game this weekend, I have a feeling that it helps with fans planning to come to Vermillion. Also, SDSU is 4-6 and #6 in conference play. A similar spot to where NDSU was back in 2019. Maybe we see a few more blue fans than normal.
My guess? 1700.

1. If you know someone who hasn't been to a game yet, send them Coach Williamson's way! 2. Bring the kids. Various USD teams will be hosting trick-or-treating on the concourse prior to the match.

Expect to see more playing time for Woodin hmm. That doesn't sound good. Schram's foot injury aggravated? Or maybe it's a borderline injury they want to rest her up for Tourney time? That would make sense that we last saw extensive play for Woodin at Setter vs UST and WIU. This is a big match rivalry-wise, but you could argue that it is less impactful on the standings then the UND and NDSU matches we have left on the schedule. Well, woodin seems to have done fine vs Western, and experience is a good thing. Maybe we see Woodin start, and Schram used if needed in a 4th or 5th set?
