I don't have any new news, but I thought it might be nice to have a place for it here. Right now we don't know much about what the injury even was, much less what her surgery/ rehab/ recovery will be. But if anyone wants to share more, now there's a place for it.
She may be back next season, maybe take a medical shirt for a year, or maybe her career as a Yote is done. Either way, she will always be one of the greatest athletes to ever wear a Coyote uniform. And a great ambassador and role model for the program and the sport.
Let's all pray for a miracle.

The word I received on Saturday was; dislocated kneecap with no ligament damage. The good thing Elizabeth has going for her is the fact she’s an athlete and in her prime physically. The bad thing is...her sport is lots of jumping and landing. Lots of jarring a knee joint.

Or best-case scenario?

If she truly does not have ligament damage, then this is best case scenario for sure. If she chooses to return, she can take plenty of time to rehab, skip the spring exhibitions, and get right for next year.

I've heard a little more about Elizabeth. More damage to knee then what I had written earlier. Surgery does not take place till next week. Thinking of you EJ.

Does anyone know if Elizabeth will be able to play next season? Still praying for her. Wonderful young lady.

Just a reminder about why Juhnke is such a great role model in addition to being a great athlete:

I don't get on Instagram much, but I was wondering about Juhnke - since I hadn't seen her in any of the recent twitter photos and videos put out by the team. Apparently she does have an Instagram account, and she had been posting some rehab pictures and videos from around February to April, I think. I'm not sure how to embed media from IG, but maybe someone else does: www.instagram.com/juhnke6/?hl=enShe is still listed on the roster, so maybe she is planning to medically redshirt? ... if anyone knows more, feel free to post it.

I’d be shocked if she ever stepped on the floor again. She’s such a joy of a young lady. Fantastic athlete yet better person.
She’s a once in a decade type player. I hope she stays around the team and the program because she’s worth a million bucks for her leadership and knowledge of the game.
If that injury doesn’t happen I think the lady Coyotes are in the Sweet 16 if not Elite 8 last December. She’s that good. No one had a way to stop her and Coach W knew that all too well. She’s a bonafide All-American.

Elizabeth has been moved off of the players section of the roster and into the coaches section as a student assistant.

I’m extremely happy Coach W put her in that role. Elizabeth is a great leader as well as player. My heart literally breaks for her in the sense her career is done as a player. If anyone in that athletic department deserves NIL money it’s her.
