I haven't seen anything either. I heard he was out of the hospital, but have no idea when he would return. I would assume the brain bleed is of more concern than the broken ribs and arm, but I have no idea the extent of it. It does seem kind of weird that we haven't heard more about it, unless I missed it as well. This is more than I have heard anywhere. Where did you hear this? From people that know the family I guess. I didn't realize none of that had been reported, maybe I shouldn't have said it. I thought his injuries were out there, I've heard several people mention them. But looking back thru the thread I don't really see it mentioned here.

They hope to have him back on the bench next week, but I didn't hear anything firm.

Doesn't sound like Coach was going to make the trip to ND this week, but I know he's been more involved. I guess it's still TBD.

South Dakota men's basketball head coach Eric Peterson is "doing great," acting head coach Pat Eberhart said Tuesday. Peterson, who has been recovering at his home since leaving the hospital following a fall in his home that resulted in "multiple injuries," has progressed in recent weeks and now is a part of the Coyotes' gameplanning on a game-to-game basis. Eberhart could not elaborate on what that meant for Peterson's eventual return, but Peterson now handles scouting opponents' offenses with assistant coach Casey Kasperbauer, as he did prior to the injury. "He's been a part of our game prep," Eberhart said. "He was at he's been a part of our game prep last week and will be a part of our game prep this week." Eberhart, who soon after the injury said he and the team only received updates from Peterson's wife, Lindsey, said after the New Year that he had spoken to Peterson directly. Since then, Peterson's involvement with the Coyotes (8-9, 3-2 Summit), including watching film of some practices, has ramped up. Eberhart said last week that even with Peterson's recent progress, there was no indication of when Peterson would be back on the sideline as the South Dakota's head coach. But just as the "positive" updates before them, "everything is moving in the right direction," he said. "I think it's getting back to a little bit of normal because coach Pete is so involved in in the prep now," Eberhart said.

Great to hear Coach Pete is planning to coach against the Jacks! And great to hear him in general. Sounds like he has spent much of his recent down-time studying film on opponents... Stuff like that might pay dividends in the second half of the season, and tournent!
Go Yotes!

How about the job that Eberhart has done? Any first year head coach is going to have lots of challenges, and Eberhart is absorbing and thriving through these challenges that he never signed up to take head on. You have got to respect what that man is doing.

You have got to respect what that man is doing. He may have jump started his own head coaching career somewhere, and it will be totally deserved. I have been both really pleased and really disappointed at different times this season, but Eberhart has thoroughly impressed me.

Peterson is back in action tonight! He looks up and active, waving his arms, shouting at players, talking at refs. Great news for the Peterson family.

So happy to see Coach Eric Peterson back in action. I know its not the result he wanted in his first game back, but I could honestly care less about that. After hearing about his injury, I'm just glad he is back and normal again.
