Also, I apologize to 34 for St. Thomas for ever even thinking she might get out-physicaled by a Summit League player and that bounce pass that kid threw at the first quarter buzzer was gorgeous.

Good news is we aren’t playing the NSIC, we’re playing St Thomas. Who is as bad as half the teams we’ve lost to this year. Hopefully the girls find some of that past two games mojo in the second half.

While watching the Live stream on the the tommie website the announcers said stick around as we’re on upset watch. I couldn’t tell if they meant We were at risk of being upset or the tommies are lol

Hempe’s half was 3 points worse than I thought and the Yotes are down. Shoot.

And now they’re not. 11-0 to start the third and the intensity has obviously ratcheted up.

We gave up a 14 point run with 5 minutes lefts essentially. A win is a win but they need to really discuss what went wrong in this game and figure out how to address it.

Good win on the road, they all are. Women learned some things tonight. We have to stay aggressive and not just hold on.

Was at the men's game so I didn't see any of it, but it sounded like we had it won, then they had it won and we somehow pulled it out our keister. Hey...3-0! I'll take it.

Wow. This team will certainly keep us on our toes this season. We now know what they are capable of, and what their liabilities are. I still have no idea what to expect from game to game, and from quarter to quarter. I'd rather have a consistent defense, but it is nice to know we can completely pour on the offense at times, ... or go scoreless for 5 minutes.
And I thought our Volleyball team was the "Cardiac Coyotes"... Whew.

In some ways it's actually a lot more interesting and fun to watch than last season when most games were over halfway through the first quarter or people were wondering what was wrong if we were only up by ten at the end of the first.

The flashes the team shows are getting longer, the droughts shorter, less runs. We're seeing slow growth here and I'm happy for it. If we can find consistency and energy, we'll be a lot better in March.

I mean, there is a lack of an inside presence at the moment. Ugofsky's just not much of an offensive threat and never will be and Demers, while in my opinion absolutely brimming with potential, is young and doesn't yet really have much clue as to how to really play at this level. It should come. But it might be a bit.
Everybody's kind of trying to take on a role that currently might be a bit too big for them, all over the floor, and while that is going to make for some up and down moments this season it should bode well for the future. Especially if a couple of kids on the team currently can make some developmental strides offensively or somebody with some firepower (Bergstrom, Klosterbuer or Kieffer or somebody else?) comes in next season ready to go.

I thought they really were forcing action and doing a lot of 1:1 stuff early. Kayla said after the game that after she called timeout late in the 1Q that Macy came into the huddle and screamed "What are we doing?"
Third quarter was excellent. They created good post touches and penetration led to easy shots or kick-outs. Also got going in transition. Grace only scored three in that run but completely controlled the action. The end was a pretty epic collapse...can't really sugarcoat that. Hopefully will be better in that situation with more experience.
