What's your rooting interest tomorrow and why?

I'll be pulling for the Vikings. Still got a chance for the 2 seed with a win.
(Who is the genius that put this game in direct competition with the full slate of NFL games in the final week of the regular season?)

This game reminds me of a presidential election. The viable candidates begin to surface several months before the election, and by the time voting day comes around, I hate all of them and simply want it to be over. The constant local media attention to this game has made me nauseous. What is the Argus Leader (or what's left of it) going to be able to write about after tomorrow?

It looks like the results are solidly in line with where I’m at. NDSU winning simply wouldn’t be anything new. On the other hand, despite being a South Dakotan with plenty of jackrabbit friends and family, I don’t think I could be happy for them if SDSU reaches this new height. In fact, the thought makes me physically ill.
Speaking of physical illness, I hope both teams get hit with violent food poisoning during pre-game warmups, and the game has to be cancelled.
I will also just monitor the score while watching the Vikings. It is asinine that the CFB national championship games aren’t on a Saturday. Saturdays are for college football!

My take/story: A team about an hour from Sioux Falls is playing football for a national championship for the second time in the last few weeks. I wished the fans travelling to the game that were on my flight out of FSD "good luck" (and meant it), but I didn't watch or care. That's where I am with this game too.

Spent the afternoon watching NFL and checking scores on ESPN's website. Never got exposed to this game once until sometime after it ended when I scrolled far enough down and saw a final score. Surprising as the game aired on ABC and should have been promoted by the family company. Instead the only thing after NFL coverage that I saw anywhere today was tomorrow's championship game and some European soccer scores (wild that ESPN was telling me about a game in Madrid airing on Deportes before a nationally broadcast American game).
Mad props to whoever decided to pick the day and time that ensured the absolute least people possible would be exposed to this one.

I watched the NFL and a little PGA golf. Forgot this game was even happening.
Nobody cares.
ETA - Who won?

It’s probably a little disingenuous to say that nobody cares unless you mean nationally. Regionally speaking, this game has been a nightmare, and I’m just glad it’s over. Now we’ll just have to deal with jackrabbit gloating for at least 12 months.

Nationally nobody cared. Completely overshadowed by the NFL. Probably the only people watching were the fans of the two teams.
Really goes to the bigger question of whether FCS football moves the needle at all. Way more publicity making the basketball tournament.
The pre-Christmas bowl games between G5 schools were more followed.

I watched every minute of the game. Congratulations to SDSU - you have an impressive team and you played very well today. Also impressed with the strong turnout of SDSU fans that showed up in Frisco. Well done. Can only speak for myself, but watching that makes our 3 wins this year hurt even more. It will be a long off season. Hope our players and coaches make the most of it.

Now we’ll just have to deal with jackrabbit gloating for at least 12 months. I'm not sure "regionally" is even right, more like locally. I live in Vermillion and work in Sioux City. Only one person even mentioned this game around me the past few weeks, and it was a relative at Christmas who works for sdsu. You don't have to travel far at all to find complete indifference to anything happening in the Dakotas.

Watched some of the other coverage too and saw it referenced a few times that sdsu built their team around competing with and beating ndsu over the last several years. It wasn’t long ago that Ndsu controlled the trenches against everyone, and now that script is flipped and sdsu completely controlled the los in the ground game today. Hoping our staff takes a long look in the mirror this offseason and finds a similar philosophy because if you look at who sdsu has coming back, everything runs through them again the next few years. We need to start being competitive up front or not much else matters on the outside and back end.
