We might be in the "other receiving votes" category in the polls next week. This is why preseason polls suck. Should be around Top 10. I have a feeling that NDSU will still be rated significantly higher than USD. We might sneak into the top 25.

We're just sitting here recapping the game. The most impressive thing was that 7 minute drive in the 4th for 3 points when we absolutely needed it. More impressive is the way it was done. Other than the pass on 3rd and 7 it was all on the ground. We went straight up with NDSU and played big boy football and beat them at their own game.

I hope there is no hangover. The worst thing we could do is turn around and lose games we shouldn't. We unfortunately have a history of doing that

Great day to be a Coyote fan. Bisonville is a great read right now. Let’s keep it going. I even saw Nielson smile.

I am stunned, over the moon, and so excited for what comes next. We desperately needed something to engage the fan base and this is exactly what the doctor ordered.
I've been highly critical of this coaching staff, but I'm here to give them credit for what was basically a perfect gameplan and a very well coached group of kids. Effectively had just 5 drives on offense and turned that into 24 points while eating up a healthy amount of clock. Then, let NDSU hold the ball as long as they want while keeping them in front of you the whole time. They had 2 drives alone that took 20 minutes off the clock and only amounted to 6 points. The staff wanted this game to be as short as possible and it worked. This game would have been done in about 75 minutes if not for commercials and halftime.
Major kudos to our guys for taking care of the ball and only having 4 total penalties for 25 yards. Truly showed up ready to do their job and do it right. It's tough to say that anyone made a mistake on the day. Had some concerns about the run game after the first couple games this year, and today we had Theis and Thomas able to get what we needed almost every single time they touched the ball. Bell had 2 giant plays where he was able to expose their secondary and go about 50 yards for a TD. Even our new kicker and punter came through big in their only opportunity to shine. Absolutely booming punt and FG attempt. And of course, the defense kept everything in front of them the entire game. Shorter had a great pick that led to a short field and crucial 7 points too.
Basically a perfect game. Couldn't have come at a better time. The trip to Fargo was supposed to be the toughest game on our schedule after Mizzou. We've got great opportunities lying ahead. Going to be a very happy D Days.

Great day to be a Coyote fan. Bisonville is a great read right now. Let’s keep it going. I even saw Nielson smile. Bisonville is not a great read. I went through their thread on this game and am now dumber for having read it. I'm sure there are smart/normal Bison fans out there, and I can understand why they would not want to be on that forum. I know I would leave this place if a loss meant the discussion turns to religion, homophobia, politics, and personal attacks. Their accepted narrative is delusional, then multiply that by cruelty to get an absolute cesspool. I'm glad USD could add a little more misery to their lives today.

That's the best read I've had in a long time. Chicken little says the sky is falling. Fire the coaching staff and hire Josh Davis. Omg. It's nice to revel in it. Just for a day

Interesting. Bisonville has 35 posters. We have 7. Wins bring fan interest. String some conference wins together and we'll start to see people care again. Today was a hell of a good start

Credit goes around to all the coaches for this win and especially to the players for executing a beautiful game plan on both sides . First of all, Josh Davis was on fire with his formation structure and use of motions and leverage. Kudos to his knowledge of NDSU and play calling by putting guys in great positions to get clean looks in the run game and pass game. Also, our OL coach is doing an amazing job with the big boys, those guys dominated upfront against a lot of movement and kept our QB clean and provided space to run interior vs a very talented DL. On top of that, our guys looked and played FAST and speed kills. Good use of that in the first half. Many unsung guys that blocked it up on the perimeter also that doesn’t go noticed much.
The defense did exactly what we needed to do especially in the run game. Credit to our DL for grinding and out LBs and safeties for cleaning it up. Plus there was some nice pops going on with the pads at the end of plays. Love it! Big thing was make their QB have to win the game with his arm and as we saw he can’t and their offense is so basic in the pass game it’s sickening to watch.
Great win for everyone vs a great program. Now back it up next Saturday.

Interesting. Bisonville has 35 posters. We have 7. In fairness, I'm less likely to post after a W than an L. There is an element of class that comes with being quieter after a win, and I think a lot of Coyote fans behave that way. It is often interpreted as apathy, so there is that...
