Congratulations to Brock and Coach Nielson. I'd guess both would be the first to say these awards aren't about them, but rather a testament to the strength of this team and its staff. Both South Dakota schools have a lot to be proud of.

What does our kicker have to do for first team, he was perfect for the year I believe. Maybe he didn't get enough attempts? He only had 10 field goal attempts. I looked up national leaders in FG% and Leyland didn't have the required 1 attempt per game to be listed. The search didn't return any other kickers who are perfect though. I can't remember any play calls that implied we don't trust his leg. Just the way things shook out. |

Bob Nielson definitely deserves that Coach of the Year title! His leadership has been stellar.
