Well, I think part of the problem offensively is there always seems to be two guys on the court that aren't confident offensively, so when the ball gets rotated to them and they don't want to shoot or make a move, the flow gets interrupted.
Just started following the game. Why does Stewart not appear to have played in the 2nd half?

I was optimistic when we beat NDSU, but now I have no confidence in our chances in the SL. I'm the transfer portal era, it shouldn't take more than a year or two to get a basketball program competitive. I don't like the direction this team is going.

Well, he hit on all three portal guys this year, no? They are the three best players on the team. How bad would they be if he missed on the portal?
Cupboard was bare from the previous coach not having a plan to build a program. And never entering a high school gym in SD.
Look who the Jacks started tonight...one transfer, one JC recruit who has been there four years, and three high school recruits. And others on the bench that are mainly high school recruits.
Yotes start four transfers and a walk-on.
Not difficult to understand who is going to be better.
I don't know if Petey will be a successful coach. But he is paying for the short-term planning by Lee.

We should have expected instant success. Not every coach is going to build/fill a roster from transfers(I know that was our prior coaches only means of recruiting) but EP’s first full recruiting class are Freshmen now and would note all 3 of those freshmen would be in the rotation if not for Eberwein’s injury. Can we please not go full Nebraska football fans here.

We have posters on here that if we don’t win now they threaten to not buy tickets, support the teams, Howling Pack, etc.
It’s absurd

Stewart is out with an injury again. What did he injure? How bad did it look? It wasn't obvious. I went back and looked. His foot slipped and he traveled with 8 mins left in the first half. He had a slight limp and didn't return. I did hear that it sounds minor.

I haven’t been able to watch this team much so far. From what I’ve seen, I feel like the personnel has been upgraded. However, reading the we haven’t seemed to develop a coherent offensive scheme other than allowing a hot hand to play hero ball is concerning. Even, low talent teams can be dangerous with a well designed and coached scheme.

We still have too many players that I would call non-threats to score or are one-dimensional offensively. It makes us incredibly easy to defend. We also are missing a point guard that can run the show and reduce the number of bad shots. If a team has one decent big and a decent perimeter defender to put on stewart We will struggle to score. We aren't very deep either. We're probably a year and a couple pieces away from competing in any meaningful way

More info from Jay...the Stewart injury is an aggravation from something that happened against EWU. So we'll see, I guess.
