I expected a big win but this passed my expectations for sure. 59-0 in a road conference game is tremendous. We didn't even do that to Northern or Drake at home. Bouman missed bad on a few throws again but it's hard to be upset when you see the final result. The misses usually don't go the other way, aside from his first pick of the season that amounted to a punt (probably better than what we would have gotten on an actual punt).
This team is looking real good. I had someone ask me today if there was a star player on the team and I didn't have one name to provide. I wanted to say Theis, but that isn't fair to Pierre. Just a completely solid team all the way around.
Finally, how did UND allow 35 points to this team? In Grand Forks nonetheless. Murray had 447 yards against UND, 213 today. Bodes well for us.

I shake my head at some of these comments. We have a damn good football team this year...one that most of us on here wouldn't have been able to fathom two seasons ago. Our only loss was to Wisconsin by two touchdowns who beat Purdue 52-6 earlier today. The toughest part of our schedule is ahead of us, but I truly believe that we are in the best position we've ever been in at the D1 level to compete with anyone. Back this team, and support these guys. They're a top notch group, and they deserve top notch fans.

Top notch fans expect greatness from great teams, not blindly accept whatever product is put on the field. If we really do have conference and national championship aspirations, it's ok to be critical and nit pick things that need to be cleaned up.

59-0 conference win, and we're wanting perfection.
I get this is Murray, but Murray was Western or ISUb from years past.
Took care of business against a conference opponent. Bottom line. We didn't do that in years past, now we are.

It wasn't that long ago that we would go on the road for a game like this and hopefully not play down to our competition. We are totally dominating on the road. That is a sign of a good team.

The difference is that we are so much better in the trenches now and we can almost always count on that game in and game out. Coaching is light years better too.

I get the comments about beating the other Dakota schools. Gotta take it one game at a time. Keep performing and executing and that will take care of urself.
Getting a lopsided conference win in the road is a conference builder.
One game at a time. Just keep rolling.

A few things from this game. Our defense was lights out and our team physicality and speed made an average offense look like a JV team. The ability to get pressure and turnovers is huge. Awesome job!
Our run game is lights out right now. Diversity in the formations and schemes is really good and very tough to defend. Our RBs are a bugger to tackle. Our passing game, although explosive at times, is one dimensional off play-action. Post routes are great to a speed guy but there nuisances to running those routes off play-action and it’s not just straight speed because you will outrun the throw. It’s about setting up your defender so he can’t make up the separation while the ball is in the air. If you look at the two post balls to Adams, they were all underthrown because it’s not just about running fast. On both posts the DB made up the separation while the ball was in the air because 1 out of 100 balls are perfectly thrown in stride. Both should have been picked even the one we caught, it was just such a bad throw he over ran the WR plus Bouman doesn’t have an NFL arm to throw a 55 yard dot. What worries me in the passing game is the gimme throws that are missed (badly) when he has to move his feet at all. Those throws will haunt us vs good teams. What happened to RPO throws off the run game cuz he used to throw those well? Diversity is needed.

the announcers keep talking how deep we are with are running backs and wide receivers. Jones-Logan gets everyone's attention when he on the field. Now we are using Quaron Adams more with his speed teams have trouble covering him. With all that talent Josh Davis seems to be doing a great job getting everyone involved and he been adding new plays each week. I hope the seats are full next week

Kudos to the OL run blocking and pass protection!!
The DL and LBs also did a great job stuffing the run!!

UND soared up the rankings with their win over Montana, but it looks like Montana lost was way overrated in the preseason polls. Montana lost to Weber State yesterday and only beat EWU by 3 last week (Drake beat EWU).
