Seems like no one from either school wants to start a game thread so I’ll assume it this week. Two really good teams going after each other. A loss by the Coyotes hurts their chances at an outright MVFC title but still keeps them in position to tie. A loss by the Jacks all but ensures them they’re out of the running. The big picture is any of the three can win the Natty. Even a 3rd place Valley team. The Jacks have the edge because of their recent past history plus playing in front of a sellout crowd at home.
No one team is going to impose their will on the other. The Coyotes will be more than ready to play. I’m positive the Jacks will be ready. Assuming no key injuries to either team that would affect the outcome ( like a QB going out ) and I see the Coyotes leaving Brookings with a win. Home crowd will help keep it from being a double score loss.
As I said earlier this week…..SDSU, NDSU, and USD along with Montana State are hands down the best 4 teams in the country. After tomorrow it will remain that way. A Jacks loss in my opinion will only fuel their fire. The revenge factor would be high. It’s very hard to beat a great team twice in one season. But I’m willing to give it a try
SDSU will have 330 yards of offense or less. Coyotes play well, not great. But I personally believe we’re a better team. They’ll be ready to play
Coyotes 26 Jacks 20

I understand. But there’s little to no talk or predictions. There’s ZERO reason to fear this team.

I really feel it comes down to a few things, some very obvious (turnovers, drive killing penalties, and who can stop the run). But from a defensive perspective, can we reduce their big play capabilities in the passing game and can we handle their QB run game? I can guarantee that the Wilde kid will be the center of attention for them because NDSU basically took him out of the game with their soft zone coverage, expect them to design ways to get him the ball early and often. Offensively, the whole key will be can we handle them upfront with all their line stunt and twist games and plus their willingness to bring pressures and 1st and 2nd down. Can we not give up free runners in the run game and pass protection. If we can, there are some gaping holes in their zone coverage in the middle of the field, plus our slot WRs and TE are major matchup issues for their safeties if left 1 on 1 in man coverage. We have the definite advantage with speed and athleticism over their defense, can we take advantage of it?

Depth chart has Theis, Gaes, and Bryant listed. I hope that's true after none of the 3 finished the game on the field last week. Big impact players.

Great first drive offense. Let's hope our defense doesn't continue their first drive struggles.
