Is Fast Eddy texting all the players the score of last years game, like he did a couple years ago?
I gotta say, you guys have a unique persective on how good your team is. Interesting quotes in this thread on what you think is going to happen.

Interesting quotes in this thread on what you think is going to happen. That is right SiouxFan. You should come down to the game and watch - Can't wait to see USD send the Fighting Sioux home for the final time after a good beating. Give me your number and I will text you the score afterwards if you don't.

Sounds like Sioux Fan needs to start a smack topic. BTW, what quality win does UND have this year? Oh that's right there is none. No one cares what happened in the past. It's this year that matters and USD has been the more impressive team overall.
UND will not be able to stay with the Coyote offense at the thunder dome. I think this thread needs an insertion from our good old buddy SD4ever. Where are those references to the mushroom clouds that will be over Vermillion, ya know the ones of the Sioux getting blown out of the dome and their nickname right with it. USD hasn't even had a real chance to play a competitive game at home yet and they will be extra fired up for home coming. USD's defense will over achieve and there will be a huge loud crowd awaiting the Sioux this week. 48-24 Yotes. The Coyotes won't make the same mistake they did in 2008. This time they won't let UND off the mat but will go for the submission choke hold this time around.
Sioux Fan, choose your deminse. Do you want to be administered the lethal injection of Coyote Red or do you prefere to go down by the firing squad known as the potent 2010 Yote O, Baby!!!

Coyote Fan, for as much as I think USD can beat UND, with all the miscues USD has had against UND, maybe the smack talk isn't the right approach right now.
Just remember, the Minnesota fans were popping off at the mouth left and right even though it took miracles for them to beat FCS opponents in the past five years. Let's not be Minnesota, since we have beat them.
Like I said, I think USD will win, but a massive amount of smack talk since UND has owned USD the past five years might not be the right place to come from. Wait until USD does it on the field...hopefully.

In the absence of having a nickname going forward, I believe instead of the Sioux we could go with The Who.... Sorry, it's early.....

I'm about to play a little devil's advocate here, and in doing so, I'll circle us back to the post that started this thread. First things first, I think USD is a 3-5 point favorite in this game. In the world of Vegas lines, you can assign roughly 3 points to home field advantage (2 points for Dante Warren). Accordingly, I'd say USD, on a neutral field, is only a slight favorite. Here's why:
1) The North Dakota monkey on our back. It's there whether we play UND or NDSU. Let's shake it.
2) Do we really know with any certainty how good either team is? We know how good we're capable of being, but that doesn't necessarily show up over the course of a season. I know this is going to take us a bit into the world of comparing scores, but bear with me.
a) USD was controlled its opening game by a pretty good UCF team. UND was controlled its opening game by a decent Idaho team. Granted, I'd say UCF is a stronger team than Idaho (coming off a humiliating loss, IMO, to Colorado State), but there's not much for compelling evidence, particularly in the first game of a football season, to be gained from comparing these contests.
b) USD beat a confused Gophers team. UND played tough (23-17) against Northern Illinois. Things to keep in mind about Northern Illinois. Going into the year, many thought NI would be the best team in the state of Illinois. They opened the year with a disappointing loss to Iowa State (which just crushed Northern Iowa...who beat NDSU), beat UND, lost a 6-point game to in-state foe, Illinois, and just beat the Gophers by 11.
c) USD beat a cupcake. UND beat a cupcake.
d) USD lost (convincingly in the second half) to a good NDSU team. UND soundly defeated Northwestern State, an average Southland Conference school.
When I consider all of these factors, I have a tough time calling USD a heavy favorite. I'd say we're favorites, but we could be in for a close one.
41-38 Good guys.

As much as we expect from this team we have to keep in mind just how young they are. USD has 6 seniors on their roster. That is an extremely young team. There are a lot of game situations that these guys haven't played in yet. All the coaching in the world can not beat game experience. I think we will have a successful season this year but am really excited about next year.

SiouxFan kind of made an appearance with a smacky nature. Just a little smack in return and it's all good.

I don't really see that much smack talk from SiouxFan honestly. Fast Eddy texting players doesn't exactly strike me as major smack honestly.
His thoughts can be taken either way honestly.

Isn't Meierkort's record in the Dakota Dome since coaching USD something like 42 and Sioux?.........

Coyote Fan asked that everyone who posted in the UND Look Alike thread, better also post something in the USD v UND thread.
So, this is my post.
I am afraid to make a prediction about the UND game. No matter what kind of team the Yotes have...no matter what kind of team the Sioux has... in any given year, the Yotes struggle with UND. So, I predict a difficult game for the Coyotes.
On the bright side, we have a coach who has recently defeated the Sioux. That's something in our favor. I hope.
Go Yotes!

If your D can shut down the Sue run you will be in great shape. Force them to beat you with their QB. He is slow and no very consistent. They will have trouble all day with our QB but you will need to have an established running game to take the pressure off him. He played very good against us (NSDU) and is very talented. I think it could be a close game but do give the home the the edge.
DO NOT LOSE TO THOSE CLOWNS!
Go Yotes!

Someone mentioned earlier that UND beat an ave Northwestern State team....they are not very good....just saying.
USD should spread UND's 3-4 defensive scheme out and let the QB make plays. But hopefully your O-Coordinator keeps the run in the playbook. When the yotes were running the ball, the Bison were having trouble with the QB draws and his play-making ability.
USD's defense will be the key. They need to stop UND from running and make them a passing team only on saturday. If the Sue can run the ball consistently it might be a long day for the yotes. Not 3 and outs every series but having a bend but not break defense which only gives up FGs will be key.
USD can score and will on saturday. Your punter can be a real asset with the field position game. It comes down to ............the Yote defense.....period.
Yotes at home: 38-21

I hate the bend but don't break defense. It bends for awhile but breaks in a different way than it was meant to do. It wears down the defense by keeping them on the field for 40 minutes. Then when the 4th quarter rolls around the defense is worn out and UND is running at 7 yards a crack.
How about the break down the Sioux defense. One that is agressive and forces the Sioux into 3 turnovers, keeps the powerfull USD offense on the field and results in a big win.
