Mainestreet, I'm with you.
Bring it on Redbirds. We Coyotes love chowing down on Redbird snacks. Tastes a lot like CHICKEN!. We're gonna sprinkle a little Starr-dust all over your QB Brown. We're not Eastern Illinois and you're not going to get to pass for 500 yards. We're also going to sprinkle a little Sand in your defenses eyes and then Sims-er a little more up the middle before icing it all over with some JVM to Powell and Terry. When we're finished we're going to send your featherless birds back to the henhouse where they belong. You come to our den and you'll find we don't have any puppies... just a bunch of mean, hungry Coyotes waiting for a chicker barbecue

I welcome open and honest debate anytime. But when the both of you come on our board, with no other posts, and start saying how bad the Coyotes are going to get beat, what in the hell do you think the reaction is going to be? As the members of the SDSU board once told me..."this is our board, and if you want to debate, be civil, not condescending." The same thing applies to you and other posters. I have posted on your board in the past and no matter what was said I was railed. Personally speaking, I wished you would come back and have frank discussions. TJ comes on and says you guys are going to get ripped apart, blah blah blah, so what do you think the reaction is going to be? Now to start over, I for one have a realistic view of the MVC, and where we fit. We aren't ready to be a top notched team yet. I don't know if we are ready to even compete on a somewhat equal basis, but I have to believe we will get there. Remember, the posters on here are proud and competitive people like your fan base. We also want to win. I said at the start of the season if Coach Glen won 3-4 games we would be fortunate. We are also aware of your fantastic fan base traveling and supporting the Bison. We aren't even close to where you are, and quite frankly, I doubt we ever will be as much as it dismays me. But that also doesn't mean we can't grow this thing and have a good time as well. I go to 9-10 games a year and have a blast. I look forward to our game 3 weeks from now. I am aware how much Green and Yellow there is, and for my seat in the park, I think it is good our fan base see something as exciting as yours. You are welcome to post anytime, as is TJ, as long as you don't just smack us in a non smack section. Fair? Yep. Fair enough. I just think some USD fans will find out how tough this conference is. I had huge expectations for the Bison when they first entered the MV. I thought they would roll right through the conference with only a couple of tough games.....boy was I wrong. I got brought down to earth right away. In 2010, the Bison needed to win their last game against a poor Missouri State to go to 8-3 and get into the playoffs and they lay an egg and get beat 3-0. They still 'squeeked' into the playoffs but on any given saturday... That is why I have said this conference is soo tough; any team can beat any team. Having said this, maybe USD runs the table. Glenn is a good coach and USD will be successful with him. USD is a good addition to the MV esp for SDSU and NDSU (bus trips). Many fans wear their emotions on their sleaves, including me. I do not intentionally try to seem arrogant on this board and if I come across that way then I apologize for that. Good luck to USD and Ill State on saturday.

I was at Illinois State last year and watched that abortion. But in all fairness, the whole day was weird. Winds blew over 45 MPH all day long. But nonetheless we got our butts handed to us. I respect this league to the utmost. Nothing would help build some confidence quicker than a home field win over one of the upper half teams in the MVC. Anyway, thanks for your response back. Have a great weekend

A USD win would be one to brag about. Illinois State is an excellent football team. Good luck today, yotes!

Good Afternoon Gents!
Looking forward to a good game today. I don't know too much about the Coyotes, so I don't want to venture too much into the turn out. Just know my Birds have been doing well! looking forward to it!
I do have a quick question I was hoping someone on here could help me with. I bought the Subscription to CoyoteTelevision. The sound has a lot of static going on it, does this usually continue throughout the game?
Thanks, and I look forward to the game! Good luck!

Still in the game but special teams today has been brutal. 2 penalties on returns, a missed fg, a roughing the punter and a blocked punt. Lets clean it up. Also, what the heck with end of half. design a qb run and he runs out of bounds. And awesome special teams. Another blocked punt.

Too many foolish mistakes. Just like the Northwestern game, we give up a touchdown right before half. Some of this is to be expected from a young team, but there have been some very poor coaching decisions also. We aren't going to beat good teams like ISU unless we play smart.

the game turned out better than i thought it would, i don't like losing but the defense really picked it up a notch in the second half. they are a good team and we are young and still learning, if the d could of played the whole game like they did in the second half, i think we would have won this game. i'm still disappointed, but i'm really looking forward to next week, hopefully the mistakes will get worked out. but it looks like we can compete in the mvc.

Did USD have a chance to win this at the end?
I thought Ill State would win easily....I was wrong. Kudos to the Coyotes.

No. We scored a TD with 26 seconds left and did the onside kick. That being said, this game was won/lost in the last 1:20 of the first half. USD was down 17-10 and just got the ball on maybe our own 15 or so. ISU had 1timeout, that's it, but we ran 3 really bad plays, and they stopped the clock, blocked the punt, and took a lead into the lockerroom of 24-10. We come back out and tie the game at 24. The Dome was alive, big Mo shifted our way, so what happens? On the first play from scrimmage we give up a 78 yard pass play and from there just seemed like that was it. I know I am a USD fan but from all I heard about ISU red, plus watching them play us last year, I can honestly say from a talent perspective, we were equal. Not better....not worse. The difference is we make wayyyyyyy yo many mental mistakes. Wayyyyy to many. We get that stopped, we'll beat some people. Until then, doubt it.
