Alright, now we're getting some good football talk. Meircourts gone so no point dwelling on him. the question is can Glenn lead us to success at the next level. Wathch him at Illinois State and see if you see what I've been seeing. He doesn't seem very engaged. He leaves it all to his OC, Wesley. Compare that to other successful coaches. How active with their team are they during a game. Most pretty much. I want the yotes to be successful. Not just the best in the state but the one of the top in the conference and country. When the head coach starts blaming his players for the NU debacle and is quoted as he "feels sorry for Wes", somethings not right. Isnt it the head coaches job to make sure his team is prepared to play, no matter who the opponent?". How easy is it to step out of retirement back into coaching? I don't know, havent done it but I imagine its not like getting back on bike after a few years. As for Goro at QB, all I know is that I was told he left Vandy after having 3 head coaches in two years. He, only played QB there and I was also told he was Meircourts hand picked successor to follow Dante Warren. DB was to get him playing time while warren was still here. I admit that I heard that second hand so I don't know the truth in it and its neither here not there. The reality is QB is not a strenght for this year..... just ask Powell, don't know him either but my guess is he really misses Dante. Over to Iowa, what gives? In fact what gives with the whole big ten. In my part of the woods there was much hope for MI State and UM. Now it doesnt' look like there will be a big 10 team in the top 10 at season's end. Iowa's up and down years with Ferentz should get him canned. Best coach in Big 10 may be NU's fitzgerald.
