Looks like another FBS win in 2020. The Clones should be on year 1 or 2 of another new coach by then.

Another win if Kansas continues their efforts to have the worst football program ever.

I like the Oklahoma game and am luke warm with Kansas and Iowa State. If the Coyotes aren't going to play an Oklahoma, Iowa, Michigan, Florida type program I would rather they just schedule a non power five program to have a better than poor chance to pick up a win. I guess after thinking about it I am contradicting myself since beating Kansas probably means less then beating most non power 5 programs anyway. I like the Bowling Green game as it should be competitive. Playing the Jayhawks in football is like playing the Kansas school for the blind. A win in that game just doesn't do much for me. If Iowa wasn't a neighborhood state no Coyote fan would ever even mention Iowa State as they are pretty much irrelevant in the college sports world, something that definitely would figure to make yoteforever cringe.

The last time the Cyclones won a conference title in football it was the Missouri Valley Conference title back in 1912.
Think about that for a second.

The last time the Cyclones won a conference title in football it was the Missouri Valley Conference title back in 1912. Think about that for a second. Love that piece of trivia. At that time the conference was effectively the predecessor to the Big 6/7/8/12. It however is technically not the same conference we currently play in. The Missouri Valley stopped sponsoring football in 1985 and the Gateway Conference was formed in its place. The Gateway would change its name to the MVFC a couple decades later.

You are correct, but the Big 6/8 and the Missouri Valley that still lives on today both claimed the old MVIAA is their conference. The split that happened in 1928 lived on until the Big 8 dissolved in the Big 12 merger in 1996. As we know, half of the MVFC is made up of Missouri Valley schools and the MVFC shares league offices with the Valley.

If Iowa wasn't a neighborhood state no Coyote fan would ever even mention Iowa State as they are pretty much irrelevant in the college sports world, something that definitely would figure to make yoteforever cringe. Iowa State football is irrelevant. To say Iowa State basketball is irrelevant shows your lack of knowledge on the subject. 2 sweet sixteen appearances in 3 years and 2 Big 12 tournament titles in 4 years makes them relevant. Regarding TJ as coach of SDSU men's basketball, I want to be make two statements in regard to his start in Brookings. Make absolutely no mistake about the fact I bleed Coyote red, and there isn't a time where I would ever cheer against USD in anything UNLESS my kid was cocking a team against us, or my grandkid was playing on a team against us. Then for one game I would. Secondly, TJ is like a son to me, and I happene to believe that despite the fact he is off to a rocky start, he will get it done up there. Don't judge his ability by one years performance, because you don't know some things that are going on, and have gone on, that perhaps might be the reason for this years start. Lastly, I personally wanted TJ to be our coach. Period. But let me be 100% clear, at the time I didn't know Craig Smith, or had barely heard of him, but leave no doubt in your mind that I am 125% in Coach Smiths corner now, and I think Herbsters choice of Craig was well thought out and a great selection. Craig also has had a rocky start, but his ability, and that of his staffs is starting to come through. Plus he's just a great guy as is his staff. I will always pull for great guys, and will always pull for great guys to do great things. So back a couple of years ago for a long period of time when you were belittling Coch Glenn, I stood up for him, because he was and is a great guy.. That's who I am CF, I am a Coyote. Always have been since 1975, and always will be till my last breath. That's exactly why my wife and I have commited ourselves to support this athletic program financially and coming to every darn game we can. I'm not fickle. The hardest thing for me right now is watching TJ get blasted. Not only on the court but on fan boards as well. And by the fact I can't stand SDSU when we play them, and I can't stand the arrogance of a handful of their posters, I will always pull for TJ to win EXCEPT when he plays USD. There are things I'm aware of that few are, and I will still bet you any amount you want, that this league in men's basketball will come down to USD, SDSU, and NDSU for the next few years. Maybe not this year, maybe not next year...but after that, I'd bet on it. SDSU has one hello of a fine man coaching their team, as does the Coyotes. Closing....any time our AD signs a contract to play a Power 5 school just look to the stars and say "thank you". But to say you only want to play Michigan or Floroda and not Iowa State or Kansas reflects just how little you know and understand about running an athletic department. And when we play Iowa State in 2020, I'll be wearing Coyote red. And I'll be supporting the coach and staff, not bashing them. Like most others on here. I'll be buried in Coyote gear, bet on it.

I'm sorry about posting this in future scheduling as only a part of it pertains to the subject matter. It's a blend of football, basketball, and personal feelings that once again got my blood flowing from CFs post about me cringing about Iowa State. If I could figure out how to move it, I would. Sorry

Kansas is improving, at least on the recruiting front. They have some good JUCO and P5 transfers coming in.

I don't think Iowa State will ever compete for the title, but they are also improving with their new Coach Matt Campbell. He's a very good recruiter. And I agree that Kansas is on the uptick as well. If we would happen to steal a win against either one of them it would be a feather in our hats for sure. I don't care how they are in relation to their respective leagues, beating a power 5 school would be an accomplishment.

Ok Yoteforever here is a senario for you.
It's the Summit League tourney semi finals on March 6th 2017. The Coyotes are the three seed and the Jacks the eight seed but are coming into the tourney off of a three game winning steak. You are at the Premier Center on Monday night. The Jacks are coming off a big upset win over Fort Wayne on Saturday Night and playing with all the confidence in the world. The Coyotes are coming off a win over IUPUI on Sunday and both teams are getting ready to play. The Jacks will play #4 seed Omaha and the Coyotes the #2 seed NDSU. Due to an over night incident the Omaha head coach has no choice but to suspend his top 3 players for the rest of the tournament.
Who are you cheering for and why?

First of all, I'd be cheering for USD. But I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume you meant the other game. And I also am going to assume that UNO is no longer the favorite because I think that's where you're heading. My answer is simple. I'd pull for TJ because he's like a son to me, and if they are the 8th seed, we should beat them anyway. Now if you tell me that by playing UNO we are 100% guaranteed a win, then I choose UNO because at the end of my life my gravestone hopefully will say " Always a Coyote " and by then TJ will be coaching at Iowa State. 😄 I bleed red. But I'm loyal to friends. At the end of the day if God says YFE, whomever you pick moves on, I would tell Coyote Nation to pack your bags, we are moving on.
