So far the Yotes are responding very well from their loss to Cleveland State. They are playing at Drake this afternoon in a rematch of the WNIT matchup in Vermillion last season. Both programs have new coaches.

I think Sayler needs to have a good heart to heart conversation with new Coach Williams and let her know that going1 & 1 in her first 2 games is unacceptable. Yotes also let Drake make it way too close at the end of game. Anything less the complete domination in all facets of each and every game is simply unacceptable.

Big difference between 1-1 and 1-10. If Williams started 1-10 in the Summit that would kind of be a slight problem. There is also a difference as I see it as well. Williams has something like 5 players out from injuries and alot of newcomers as well. When there are so fewer players to choose from on the roster it goes along ways to make the win at Drake even bigger. She has a much more bare cupboard to work with than what Glenn has. What I mean by bare is regarding the number of injuries and newcomers eventhough those newcomers could be very good players.
Lets get one thing straight. I judge on wins and losses for the most part. So far Joe Glenn and/or Matt Houk have proven very little as far as putting out winning programs. Glenn has obviously had less time and that is to his credit but Houk continues to be an average coach. Consider what I said, average, which doesn't mean poor. It just doesn't mean very good either. People are calling Houk, Great, which I guess I don't understand from an objective standpoint.

I am praying that this post is filled with sarcasm. This was a GREAT win for this program and Amy Williams and her staff a.d the kids are to be commemded for a job well done so far!!!!!!!

That's because you don't understand how much work he has to do with that volleyball program....which was left for dead even while he was there. He was give almost nothing to work with and still has...well almost nothing and he can get a .500 level team out of it??? That's like being .500 in the SEC while at Kentucky, basically, in football.

Great win by the women's team. This could be a huge up and down year with all of the injuries already. To see a big bounce back win like this tells a lot about the coaching job basically. Seems like Williams is showing that she was definitely the right hire for the job.
