Hopefully there isn't some kind of a guess how many rebounds there will be and it will be worth 30 or 40 points. That kind of hurts the consistant people that pick games correct.

If keep doing this, I want to have a way to reward both the smart players and the lucky ones. For now, luck is a little too much of the package. But I need some way to keep people playing even though they fall pretty far behind the really good players. The big bonus point jackpot is one way. Substantive weekly awards are another way. I will post that news in a separate reply.

Well, it's the day of the "Big Game" and a lot of wings and other goodies will be consumed before all is said and done. If you happen to like Buffalo Wild Wings food, now may be the time to hop in and play Roundball Roulette. Starting this week, I will be awarding the weekly point total winners with a $25 gift certificate to BWW. Pistol-pete has relinquished the overall point lead to Week 7 Player of the Week Rabbit74 heading to Week 8, which should be an interesting one. Oakland can do the Leathernecks a huge favor and will be hosting the Bison in the StatPick matchup (Total Ties + Lead Changes) as well as the Jackrabbits in the PowerPick. There was no winner of last week's StatPick Jackpot so it is sitting at a hefty 30 bonus points right now. Even the inexperienced newcomers will be in excellent shape to capture the BWW gift certificate should they nail that StatPick prediction. Last meeting in Fargo, the Bison led the Grizzlies throughout so there were exactly zero ties plus lead changes in the game. Who knows what will happen on Kampe's court. Good luck to one and all in Week 8! docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgvPm5omyMIedFIyZW8taUsxVGkwM0x3aTZrVjEtaWc&output=html

Heading to Week 9 and down the home stretch. This week will go a long way in determining conference tournament seed positions. WIU @ NDSU is the StatPick ("Combined Team Blocks") and WIU @ SDSU is the PowerPick. For next week, the BracketBuster games will be handled like this: The game involving the #1 Summit League team (based on current standing along with RPI Rank if necessary) will be the designated PowerPick game. The StatPick will be "Combined Attendance for ALL Summit League BracketBuster games". The player coming closest WITHOUT GOING OVER will win the StatPick Jackpot bonus points which could be as many as 50 if no one wins it this week. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgvPm5omyMIedFIyZW8taUsxVGkwM0x3aTZrVjEtaWc&output=html

Just a heads up - first game is on Wednesday this week. Also, the StatPick is combined attendance for the BracketBuster games, closest without going over. I did some homework for you (see the StatPick Help sheet). Jackpot is 50 points so whoever gets that StatPick right will likely, barring meteors falling from the sky, win the BWW gift certificate. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgvPm5omyMIedFIyZW8taUsxVGkwM0x3aTZrVjEtaWc&output=html"]https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgvPm5omyMIedFIyZW8taUsxVGkwM0x3aTZrVjEtaWc&output=html"]https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgvPm5omyMIedFIyZW8taUsxVGkwM0x3aTZrVjEtaWc&output=html

This is the final week of Roundball Roulette. WIU's Pistol-Pete leading at this point but sealhall74, BisonBohl, and Rabbit74 all within reasonable striking distance. Any and all players still have a shot at the $25 BWW Player of the Week gift certificate. For the upcoming Summit Tournaments, I am rolling out a brand new game so everyone can start from scratch and have a good chance to win. I will be awarding the tournament winner a $50 BWW Gift Certificate to encourage participation. As always, no cost to you to play and have fun. The game (point system, bonus point picks, etc.) will be very similar but still some details to iron out. If you have suggestions, I am willing to consider them. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgvPm5omyMIedFIyZW8taUsxVGkwM0x3aTZrVjEtaWc&output=html

Now on to March Madness. I have a new game in place for any and all who want to play. $50 BWW gift certificate to the overall point winner (read the tie-breaker rules in the Help sheet). The entry form has a bracketized layout to make things easy for you. No PowerPick but there is one StatPick worth 5 bonus points for each bracket. Here is the link to the new Summit Tournament edition of Roundball Roulette: docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0AgvPm5omyMIedDc3TFliaFd1dGdxZURTOGFrSU5JSmc&output=html
