What's funny is that SDSU says USD doesn't matter for how long and has said that USD isn't on the same playing stage as SDSU. While USD didn't win the cup, they only lost by a game or a point or whatever it is. So apparently SDSU isn't running away with athletics as much as they would like to believe. Plus what happens after they lose the second best SD native in the NBA draft? Yes, I would draft Colton Iverson over Nate Wolters any day in the upcoming draft.[/q Most everything i have read has Wolters going late first round, early second round, before Iverson. But Wolters isnt even a SD native, he's from Minnesota.

This is the stupidest thing I've seen in a while. The only sport that matters is football. Maybe MBB. I'd bet a significant sum of money that if the first post in this thread had been accurate, you would have posted a statement 180 degrees opposed to the above. In any event, I'm not aware of any SDSU fan (or USD fan other than the one who started this thread) who is excited about the showdown. You'd be wrong. SDSU's athletic department/teams are better than USD's. I think it is stupid to have this showdown. Want to know who wins each year? The only sport that matters is football. Who cares about tennis, golf, etc?

No,what's funny is that you think this showdown is some kind of accurate measure of the 2 programs. It's funny, predictable, and just dumb. BTW, Wolters isn't a SD native.

I think other USD fans will disagree with you, sd4life; but, it's certainly your right to focus on one sport.

If you are going to have a contest celebrating the student athlete, then no sport should be worth double the rest. Don't be ignorant. Good idea! A humorous post! Why not just have the football game be worth 10 points? Fantastic idea, right? Nothing else matters after all. Let's go tell all the track, tennis, golf, swimming and softball athletes that they are worthless in comparison to the football players.

No defense, can shoot the three but isn't an NBA point guard and can't match the defenders quickness at the 2 so he can't drive in like he did in college. He's smart, but he really reminds me of a very poor man's Luke Ridnour. He isn't an SD native? I thought there was a proclamation in Brookings this year to make him an SD native? Weird. Also, like SD4Life said, yeah, it's 14-13, so the gap isn't as big as you think. 14-13 isn't running away with it like you Bunnies would like to think it is. Figured you all knew math since the engineering school was there, but guess calc isn't a requirement there anymore.

Are they the same experts that said to take Darko over Melo, or Oden or Durant or even the ones that thought Austin Rivers should go over Damon Lilliard last year? How about the experts that said Hashem Thabbet was a top 5 draft pick, or that Johnny Flynn was a top 10 guy? How's Jordan Hill going? Should I keep going on how the experts are doing in terms of the draft?

You wouldn't need a draft if everyone knew who to take correctly every time.
