I think our gals have a shot at winning the Summit League this year. As I have said before, Coach Houck is putting together a solid program. Today, the lady Yotes knocked off Idaho State at the Misouri Tiger invite in Columbia. This afternoon, they lost to Missouri (of the SEC) 3-0, but played respectable. Tomorrow they play Arkansas State. Good luck ladies.
I'd advise you to get out and watch this team play. They have a real shot at being good. Support them, they are a classy bunch of gals.

These ladies are amazing. Being a Texas Tech fan also, TTU was no pushover. They are very good. This was an amazing win, probably a top 5 in program history! GO YOTES!

In all candor, Texas Tech is not that high quality team the Big 12 produces year in and year out. They have some history, but this year they haven't done as well. All that being said, it doesn't matter, because our gals beat a Big12 team that has a budget much greater than we do. Our ladies got beat in the championship match against a highly touted, and up and coming Washington State team.
Our gals play in Vermillion the 16th against North Dakota, and if at all you can be there, you need to watch these gals play. They are fun to watch, and they play as a team. If Coach Houck is right, that they have yet to gel the way he envisions it, and he's wanting to do that the last half of conference play and the Summit Tournament, these gals have a real shot at the big dance.
USD volleyball is really good right now. I'm making the 2 hour drive next week to watch them play. If you have never seen a college volleyball match before, you will be amazed at the speed of the game. Most people roll their eyes and think to themselves it can't be that much fun to watch, but it is. Please go back these ladies, you'll be glad you did. Congrats at Washington State.

The Yotes toughest test of the year to date will be their next match in the first game of the Wichita State Tournament on Thursday as they face Hawaii, 8 and 1 on the year and the #7 team in the country. They will also play Wichita State (9 and 1 on the year) and Creighton (8 and 2 on the year and #23 in the country)

The gals had a bit of a "hangover" from traveling so much and playing late Saturday night plus had home opener jitters but after the halfway point of set 2, they looked like the caliber of team I thought they would be. We are even fairly young with he exception of our record setting setter. They are fun to watch. You need to get there and watch them play. They are a great group of young ladies. I'm proud as heck

The ladies are down in Wichita this weekend, and last night they played the #7 team in the country, the University of Hawaii where they got beat 3-0, but the Coyotes in set 2 were tied 21 all, and had it to one point in set 3 late in the match. That's playing very good volleyball. These gals are getting better and better. They still have to play Creighton, which is ranked 24th, and Wichita State, which won the Valley a couple of years ago. Follow this team, they are going to be something. Good job gals

The ladies play Friday night a d Sunday afternoon at 1 in the conference openers. Huge weekend for Coyote volleyball. If you are a casual fan, don't be dismayed by them going 0-3 in Wichita last weekend. The of the three teams are nationally ranked, and the other has been. The ladies played Hawaii very tough, and their coach is the all time winningest coach in NCAA volleyball. A 2-0 start in conference play would give them a big boost. Support them if you can.
