You have to watch the whole play a real speed. First contact was with his hands. His helmet made contact but was not flagrant imho. I can see a personal foul but ejection and another 1/2 is going way overboard. This is football and helmets will touch now and again. I did watch the vid. Yes,the first contact was his hands but he also lowered his head and appeared to launch himself. That's the foul. Also, the rule states:"When in question,it is a foul". Imo, it wasn't malicious but that doesn't seem to matter. The pussification of football continues ...... The pussification of football continues is the line of the year. Well done Jackit Amen

I didn't think the hit warranted a suspension. From what I saw Starr got air born and had his hands up to block the pass, came down, connected with hands first and then heads made contact.
I don't get the current state of football. Heads will bump from time to time that's why players wear helmets. If not let's go back to the old days of leather helmets and no facemask.

It's an unfortunate situation for Tyler and the Coyotes. However, if you are going to protect players from helmet to helmet, I guess this qualifies. Apparently, the league has the discretion of reviewing replays at any time. If the league is so concerned about the safety of the players they should be reviewing the hit on Koch, which was a vicious hit to the head.

Below are a couple of tweets from Todd Golden, the Terre Haute Tribune-Star beat writer for the Sycamores:
"Obviously I haven't seen every team yet, but if I had to vote right now on MVC Defensive Player of the Year? USD's Tyler Starr gets my vote."
"Starr was as dominant on Saturday in one half as I've seen any MVFC defensive player look and I've been at this since 2004."
