Exactly! To say you don't care about the programs at all is a joke. I thought you were Coyote Fan? Doesn't that include all coyote athletics? Just like saying the Lamar game doesn't really matter. I know if we would happen to lose, you will be the first one on here saying fireed.com. I know it hasn't been the greatest football season, but to say this last game doesn't really matter except to send the seniors out on a positive note, come on man! You as a fan should care about every game. I know I do, along with the rest of the Coyote fans.

I am definitely with Iceman here. EVERY game matter and you can take something out of ANY game. Ask Minnesota how much there last games mean to them even though they lost to USD....pretty sure they can take something out of them and that they mean something.

What the heck are you guys doing up at 3am? Besides posting on the Yote board of course.
Don't forget tomorrow is the Lunch with the U at Pizza Ranch at 41st and Kiwanis. Beacom School of Business Dean Mike Keller is the main speaker, and AD Sayler will be doing Q & A about the conference decision. It's from noonish to 1pm. David will probably start around 12:15 and Mike around 12:30. You will be out of there by 1pm. Come join us.

Also, I listened to AD Sayler on 620 AM out of Sioux City yesterday and it sounds like we are full go on the arena and Dome expansion. While the BOR has tabled it, there have been 3 architectural firms that have gone through the Dome and are putting together drawings to present to the BOR. Getting the ducks in a row. Sounds like this could happen rather quickly. Ask him about that if you get the opportunity.
As for The Decision, I'm sure you'll get the polished version of the story. Explaining what really happened behind closed doors would take more than 15 minutes, and really, it's probably a story that will never come out. I still say we made a mistake. Looks like the Montanas are staying in BSC, and when we start losing Summit schools we'll be wishing we weren't forced to stay in the Summit.
Yes, I'm still bitter about not going to the BSC and how it all went down. The MVFC is a great football conference, and the Summit has an autobid. I just wanted USD to choose its own destiny and the BSC is a better, more prestigious conference.
Off soapbox.

It's pretty much the hours I keep. Yote 53, I do agree with you that I would rather be in the BSC too since it's a better conference, plain and simple. However, the MVFC is pretty good and I hope the Summit will stabilize and such. Basically this will save a LOT of money for the U, plain and simple.

The number of students at the Northern Colorado game was terrible. We have the exact same problem. We average about 3,500 students per game, but at last Saturday's game I'll bet there were 1,000 max. It just seems like some dumb cultural thing. Last year we played SIU for a conference championship (and lost) on a perfect, 50-degree day in November and attendance was 10,000, about 5,000 off the average to that point. WTF? Now we play UND on Nov. 20. Any wagers on how many students show up for that one? Cripes.

There are a lot of students that don't want to go to games period. However, there are a lot of students that would come to the games but the weekends is when they work or have Guard Drill. It is just a fact of life in this day and age. That is one of the biggest changes in the last 20 years is the number of students who work all year long and not just in the summer. College is so darn expensive now that they have no choice.

Judging by the game against Cal Poly - most of them must have been scheduled to start their jobs at the same time as the beginning of the 3rd Quarter...... Much bigger problems than jobs. This problem is not unique to USD, it is a problem shared by most schools not in the top 30 of BCS where going to the games is a deep-seated student tradition.

Judging from the UND board they are having similar issues with student attendance.
My advice to students is to ditch the job and take out student loans. I am serious. You only get to go through college once and have the rest of your life to work. Enjoy your time in school. Do the things that students do and quite worrying so much. You have your whole life to worry about jobs, bills, and families. And honestly, that $7.00/ hour you're making isn't doing a dent on your tuition bill. Study hard in school, choose the right major that will earn you a decent living someday and just be a student.
How many of us are at work every day and would give about anything for the chance to go back to college? My hand is raised.
Truth be told, a huge amount of students aren't at work, they are back home at mom and dad's or in their house/apartment getting drunk and watching major college football.

If there were 10,000 Coyote Fans (meaning 10,000 me's) in attedance that damn Dakotadome would be so loud that the roof would be shaking and the bolts would be falling out from above and landing on the field. It wouldn't just happen on 3rd downs or on touchdowns but on good blocks, tackles, hits, etc. The fans would have high expectations, maybe unrealistically high. The major advantage would be for basketball. That is where the biggest difference would be made. The dome would be full during any game that had any significant important. The crowd would be loud and it would get to the point of being Cameron indoor like. Alot of jumping up and down, chanting etc but it would be clean, no berating the opponent, at least not majorly so. Come on Coyote Fan! 10,000 of you. Aren't we getting a little full of ourselves? I don't see you going crazy at games. Usually you are sitting there with your arms folded not saying anything. Oh and by the way, we aren't in the Big Sky so why do you still have the logo on? I was simply responding to the prior post that usdfbalum made where he asked of a hypothetical situation if all the fans were like me. That is the only reason I posted about it. I am definately not sitting there doing nothing. Well maybe at halftime but I am definately one of the louder cheerers at the games. Since I sit a few rows away from you I think you may be the one with the arms folded.
