Interesting that the fans that don't consider us a rival have to consciously go out of their way to post the above. Classy. Stig would be very disappointed.

Valley gets TWO teams in? Seriously? Cant imagine our commish will be overly happy. Two teams that didnt get in, UNI and Youngstown, both beat FBS teams. Typically that's been a strong indicator. Yeah UNI started awful in the Mo Valley, but it has some pretty impressive wins.

Picked up this tidbit from then Bunny Board thread about their upcoming game against NAU.
"Econolodge is right by campus and has rooms for $36 a night at hotels.com, its a cheap hotel but they do allow pets and your right there."

Yeah UNI started awful in the Mo Valley, but it has some pretty impressive wins. Two teams from the MVFC is a joke. It's not even debatable that it's a top 3 conference, and perhaps likely even the top conference, in the FCS. Youngstown should be in the playoffs, and UNI even should have gotten a look. Sam Houston State made the playoffs with 6 D-1 wins, and only one over a team that had a winning record. Lafayette won their awful conference and made the playoffs with a LOSING RECORD! Butler plays in a league that doesn't even offer scholarships, beat no teams worth classifying as D-1, and is hosting a playoff game. Southern Utah (who got beat by UC Davis 21-3) beat only one team with a winning record, finished 8-4, and had a schedule that consisted almost solely of the dregs of the Big Sky (who they couldn't even beat impressively) The Ohio Valley Conference gets 3 (THREE!) teams in the playoffs despite the league having zero playoff win in the last 15 years. It is very clear that the playoff field in the FCS is not selected based on competitive interest.

Heck no it's not based on competitive interest. This is the NCAA. It is based on equal opportunity and fairness. If the playoffs were for the best teams than over half the MVFC should be in practically every year. As it stands, I bet the Yotes could whip up on over half the playoff field even with our current injury situation.
Congratulations to NDSU on their 3rd straight national title.

Valley IS the top rated conference in the country, in the GPI. The committee, for whatever reason, thought we deserved only 2 bids....it's a tough spot, and I can't imagine commish Viverito is happy. At all.

I can see the poor Econolodge manager now, explaining the legal term "pets"...
