Coyotes need to bring their A game tonight and be ready to battle! Hopefully Trey can play.

There's no way this opponent can sneak up on us. This is simply a senior-heavy, hungrier version of the same Bison squad that murdered us twice last season. I've watched several of their games, including the victories @notre Dame and @sdsu. I remain impressed by their length, defense and ability to score from every position. Someone forgot to tell NDSU last year that it's difficult to shoot in the Dome, because they peppered us at a 64% clip and 52% from three. We will need to find the fire to pull this one out. Our defense really, really needs to bring it, and we must keep things respectable on the glass. If NDSU plays to form and we're soft on defense and rebounding, we will lose by 20+. No looking forward to Saturday. Go Yotes!

Just finished watching the game. All for naught though as it is pretty hard to beat a quality team when you turn the ball over a number of times and miss four free throws in the final minutes. I'm really sick of losing to the Bizun all of the time.

I'm in no mood to say "at least it was close". We have to finish, Trevor missing both free throws at the end of game like that just can't happen if we're going to win close games. The comeback was impressive, and I sure was impressed at about the first 15 minutes of both halves, but we have to finish.

Tough loss but much improved performance compared to last yr against a very good, veteran Bison team! Shows we can play with anyone in the league and we still didn't put together a complete game from start to finish. GO YOTES!!!

To win in this league, we've got to close games. The last 2 games were wins that we couldn't close, it's the difference between first place and middle of the pack! That's a fact, and we've got to learn that lesson.

I was really impressed with our effort. We out-rebounded NDSU 36-29 and did a pretty good job of challenging their shots. In my opinion, turnover margin and TrayVonn Wright were the difference in this game. He shoots the ball well for a guy his size, and he seemed to convert on nearly all of his lightly contested jump shots. I thought Flack did a nice job down low on Bjorklund, who is a really savvy player. All of the pieces were in place for an upset. Braun was reportedly playing under the weather, and it showed. Bjorklund found himself in early foul trouble. We were playing with good energy. Tough, tough loss.
I feel bad for Trevor, but those were not “game losing” free throws. At best, we come out up one point, giving NDSU the ball with 9 seconds remaining. Flack’s missed free throws and the mystery and-one for Braun were just as key, in my opinion. On that note, the officiating was woefully inconsistent. The block-charge calls were awful.
Well, it’s on to our “Super Bowl,” as Jacks fans love to point out. I frankly don’t mind the criticism; it’s well deserved. For those of you planning to attend Saturday, make sure to reach out to your unfamiliar Coyote neighbors and say that you missed them when the Summit League’s number-one team – and preseason favorite – visited the Dome on Thursday. We could’ve used the fan support.

Our inability to Close out games reflects on coaching in my opinion. NDSU's ability to execute matched with our inability down the stretch was the difference. I thought our substitutions at the end was a little odd with having one of our 2 rim protectors on the bench as Braun went to the rack at will. Great game and hopefully it will boost our confidence rather than be a crushing defeat. With the pieces we have, W's are what matters, not moral victories. I think JJ would agree.

At least the "Hate State" crap wasn't out in full force on campus this week like it was for football season. If this is the only thing that will get them to the Dome, I'd almost rather they not come at all.

I've had time to think about it since, but when i watched us feed the ball to Gruis in that last play, i remember thinking, 'he's gonna get fouled and missed both.' i mean, i get it, he's our best player, feed the big boys....but bos was having so much success getting to the rim in the second half, and he's a much better foul shooter. still need your seniors to make at least one of those free throws, that's a big time spot, make a big time play.

Tough loss last night. Just now getting my voice back. I thought the crowd was decent and we definitely made some noise starting with the monster Flack dunk and block at the other end. We're getting closer every day with this team. By tournament time, we'll be on everyone's radar.

Watched on TV (in Rapid City) and there were many missed opportunities at the end not just missed free throws. We did not score in the last 4 minutes--turnovers, steals, etc. Everyone naturally remembers the last play or two but.... That game is over and now on to bigger and better things! Our paths may cross again in the tournament and we now know that they can be beat!!

Heart breaking loss for sure. Voice is still wrecked this morning. Definitely the most fun we've had in the student section so far this season. I hate moral victories, but that was a very good team last night. I hope JJ has the boys off their feet today doing some serious film work. It has to be tough coming off an emotional game like we saw last night and turning around to play a rivalry game. We are sure to have a great atmosphere tomorrow and I am expecting our guys to bring us a win. Go Yotes.

I don't think anyone has to remind Gruis about the free throws. Judging by the facial expression and the body language when the final buzzer sounded he knew exactly what happened. He went 8 for 8 in the first half so why not feed him the ball? Not to mention he is shooting 78.1% from the free throw line since we started conference play. I don't disagree with the play call, even though I think they shoulda used a screen and roll with gruis and Bos with casperbauer in the corner for the kick out. A combination of not scoring in the last few minutes and Thoesby turning it over twice and fouling once in the last 2 minutes didn't help either. No matter how the rest of the season plays out, I guarantee you that no team will overlook us. We are a very dangerous team and if we figure out how to close out the last 2 minutes of games we are arguably one of the top 3 teams in the conference. This loss puts a really bad taste in my mouth and hopefully it did the same for the team. It makes me uneasy because im not sure what that bad taste will do to team. They will either come out flat and get rolled, or they will come out hungry and absolutely out play the jacks in all aspects of the game. We can only hope that its the second one of the 2.
