In less than a year, NDSU has lost their football coach, men's basketball coach, women's basketball coach and now their athletic director. Will be interesting to see whether they will continue to be and outstanding program, or if it will take them a while to regain their past excellence or if they take a step backward.

The Bison fans (the really ignorant majority, at least) will think losing such a huge amount of talent won't affect them at all, but they were really lucky to have these guys in command. They've set themselves up with a very good springboard going forward, but instead of using it to get top external talent they have been hiring internally, almost to the point where I think they are hiring internally just to keep it all in the family. We have yet to see their basketball coach, football coach, and future AD do anything on the job yet, perhaps they know exactly what they are doing, but I see the Bison coming back to reality a bit going forward.
Honestly, I'm surprised Taylor stuck around as long as he did. This last year was the most successful in NDSU's history, if he didn't leave now he was never going to leave. I'm interested to see who they appoint next, especially to see if it's another internal hire.
