I have heard rumblings of a possible indefinite suspension. Possible missing workouts and practices and playing pick-up at the wellness center. Anyone had any information on this?

I've heard nothing, but Craig Smith seems like a no nonsense kind of guy who wouldn't tolerate anything like that from his players.

I have heard the same rumblings. Not sure what he did or didn't do but doesn't surprise me. If it's true let's hope he learns his lesson.

I heard from one of the students that works with the players that Trey didn't go to practice for three days because he claimed to be sick, but was found playing pick up ball over at the wellness center one of those days. She also told me that Trey is suspended indefinitely, and I have absolutely no doubt that all of this is true.

Is it just from off-season team activities and/or a portion of the season? That would be a huge loss if he was suspended for some games during the season.

As far as I am concerned all the players either need to be ALL IN on what the coach is asking of them or they should hit the road. If all that has been said about the player is true, let's hope he reevaluates his attitude and approach and gets to work.

I got the impression that he isn't allowed to participate in any of the team activities until further notice, but I'm sure the coaches will give him a chance to prove his commitment to the team before the season starts. The coaches are trying to instill a culture, and this kind of behavior is entirely intolerable. No one is bigger than the team, and that's been made very clear before even a single game has been played.

You shouldn't take his apparent actions from anybody on the team. Send him down the road as a message.

I agree 1959coyote. I have heard a lot of bad things about his attitude from last season already. This type of attitude is not acceptable period. Especially with the type of program Smith is building. Send him down the road and free up a scholarship for someone that wants to be there.

Whoa, these are month old rumors. The coaches know best. No comments are necessary at this point. If he isn't gone yet and is on the roster, he is on our team and should be supported.

Agreed Eddie. Trey is still a Coyote last I checked and he has given a lot to this team and this university and he definitely deserves support. No amount of growth ever happened without some pains along the way. We all say we want a coach who will mold a young athlete to be the best both on the field and in the classroom, but sometimes we find ourselves second guessing those same folks and their decisions without getting the whole story. I'll be the first to say "guilty as charged" because it's easy to do, but Coach Smith and his staff are a capable bunch and it's situations like this that are best left up to them. I would love to see Trey on the court this year and I hope things work out for him.
