Wouldn't that be quite the regional in 2016 if both USD & SDSU made the dance and got placed in the Sioux Falls region.

This is awesome. I wished that we could have gotten the Men's Regionals as well, but this is still fantastic and another sign of Sioux Falls becoming more and more recognized nationally.
Now if one of the SD teams gets placed there that is going to be a heck of an advantage, not sure it would be allowed though.

I was wrong in my above post as Sioux Falls is not hosting the opening round games, but is hosting the regional (Sweet 16 & Elite 8 games). Can you imagine the turnout if USD (or SDSU) made it to the Sweet 16 in Sioux Falls

Couple of thoughts. Amazing news that SF is chosen to be the host of a regional. With that being said, I do not think the committe would have any problem placing SDSU or USD in this region considering it is the regional site, meaining it would be remarkable for either to make it that far--would require 2 upsets most likely. Also, on the men's side, I belive sioux falls was after round 1 & 2. Seems like a men's regional in SF is a bit out of reach.

I know that SDSU didn't make it to the round of 16 but they played- 2008-09--- TCU and Baylor @ Lubbock, Texas 2009-10---- Oklahoma @ Norman, OK 2010-11---- Xavier in Cincinnati, Ohio 2011-12---- Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind Maybe in the sweet 16 they don't give home court advantage but they do in other rounds.

USD's match-up last year in Ames, IA against Stanford sure felt like a home court advantage too. I spoke with several Stanford fans including their director of basketball operations who were extremely impressed by the USD turnout and said they don't even draw crowds like that for home games.
