0-3, disappointing start to the season! We should be 2-1!

The two misses by Norris at the end of the one OT hurt. It was entertaining to listen to on one hand but torture on the other.

I'll take the 3OT losses in the non-conference and the smooth victories in conference play. Clearly our guys are FAR improved from last year, and they are only going to get better once these games matter the most. I think that we've already seen leaps and bounds in the three games this season, and may very well contend for the Summit League title. Even if we don't, you know we'll be swinging until our final breath, which I love to see!
Something that really impressed me is that even in 55 minutes of game time we had no one foul out until there were 9 seconds left in the third overtime. That's some discipline right there.
It's going to be real hard for the team to turn around and play another game so soon tomorrow after a heartbreaking marathon like that.

Don't get too far ahead of yourself. Again we beat Utah valley who won the WAC last season. Leaps and bounds??? Not yet guys!! Not even close!

We should have fouled in the 1st OT and not given them the chance at a 3. Don't you have to foul? I say yes!!!

I agree usdcoyotes! Especially with only a little over 9 seconds left.

I do agree with yotes about them fighting a lot harder this year. No way do we come back at the end of regulation like we did in this game the last 2 years. No inside game kills us.
Some would argue that 9 seconds is a lot of time left to foul although I agree they probably should have done it.

Fact is; SHSU won 24 games last year, and we went toe-for-toe into 3 OTs with them while playing without probably our two most indispensable players in Flack and Hunter.
We played both short and short-handed, and nearly survived the marathon. If you can't see reason for optimism in this team then you are a pessimist.

I have heard Flack is likely our for the year. What is Hunter's status?

It won't be easier today, especially on short rest off a 3OT game. Wofford is a tournament team that returned everyone. I have a feeling today's game could get ugly.

I heard Flack has been hurt all Fall but didn't know Hunter was injured too. That makes us way too small-we need to make Free throws at the end of games. This should be a fun game against Wofford!

Hunter sprained his ankle in practice on Friday and didn't dress.
