Well, our old Great West conference mate NJIT (that's New Jersey Institute of Technology in case you'd buried that memory in a dark place) knocked off #17 Michigan 72-20 in Ann Arbor on Saturday. It would take a special effort from the Yotes to do the same to the Jays tomorrow night, but would sure be something...

Anybody watch Creighton take on Nebraska on Sunday? They may not have Doug McD, but they are no slouch of a team. They played really strong defense and on offense were great as a TEAM. Solid ball movement. Zach Hanson could be a force for them going forward.

Creighton's win over Nebraska was very impressive. I hope they left it all in Lincoln and let us stick around a whole tonight.

We have no matchup for their 2 big guys and their guard play is very good. The coyotes need others to step up tonight and defend that 3pt line and need offense from more than Bos Larsen kasp! Go yotes!

IUPUI vs Xavier game is also on FS1 tonight, starting in a couple of minutes. Guess we can call the double header the Big East Summit Challenge.

Will definitely watch it, but it is a challenge this time of the year what with all the sappy Christmas shows going on (and being taped) over on the Hallmark, etc. channels!!
Go Coyotes!!

This is the Tre Burnette we were hoping to see early on. Nice start Yotes!

24-18 Coyotes. What I note is one player that's playing with confidence. That person is Tre Burnette. Great game so far.

The Yotes lead by 3 at halftime. I am very impressed with what I have seen so far this half. The Yotes are undersized but they are doing a good job of passing the ball in the half court for decent looks at the rim. The Yotes are looking to run it a bit but haven't necessarily had the numbers so have usually settled for a half court set. The man to man D has been very good as well. Creighton isn't dominating down low like they very well could or should be doing.
I don't see how anyone can say the Yotes aren't better off right now than they were a year ago. How long can the Yotes sustain this and could they possibly pull off a huge upset.

28-25 at the half with Yotes on top. Guys hanging tough, hitting shots when it counts and making some big stops. Thought it was cool that Creighton started former Pierre Governor Zach Hansen. Heck, they even pronounced "Pierre" correctly, but I disagree with them when they said this would be the biggest win in program history. It would be big, but not the biggest.

Yotes playing extremely solid D. Hope they are ready for the 2nd half energy Creighton is sure to come out with. matched them blow for blow so far. Couple guys for the Yotes forcing it a little too much. Need to keep attacking the rim instead of settling for jumpers.
