Denver makes 2 and it's 67-57. 3:08 to go. Layup good for Denver. 67-59. Yotes need a bucket.
Missed shot now Denver ball. USD foul. first no good from a 81% shooter. second good 67-60. 1:25 to go.
Boss in and out. Denver makes a layup. 67-62 Yotes with the ball. The good thing is that USD has milked the clock down under 1:00 to go.

Denver scores a short shot. 68-64. Larson fouled
first good second no good
long three and it's 69-67
Bos fouled
First good second no good.
70-67 Olsen for two for Denver
70-69 Larson fouled at the line for 2
first good second good
72-69. Denver throws the inbound out of bounds. HUGE. Coyote ball.
Coyote score 74-69 is the FINAL
Wow what a win, who would have thought the Yotes could rebound so quickly after the disappointment against Omaha. It's easy to say they will rebound but to actually do it is GREAT. We're back in the mix in the Summit League.

Somebody find out who the Pioneer Vision color guy was. What a dirt ball. Completely lacking in class and sportsmanship.

Coach Smith when down by double digits decided he was going to go small ball and make it a game or chaos like a play ground game. That is when they went on the 28-4 run. That is exactly what I believe in. Make them matchup with what you are doing not worry about what they are doing. That decision by Smith won the Yotes this game today. Play to win, not not to lose.

Somebody find out who the Pioneer Vision color guy was. What a dirt ball. Completely lacking in class and sportsmanship. I agree completely. Here are a few of his comments. "Hunter is unskilled and is only there for his size." I bet they said Hunter was unskilled at least 20 times over the course of the game. "South Dakota is not a good team and should not even be able to play with Denver. "If SD wins, it is only because DU gives it away." "Larsen is not very good and only likes to talk smack. He is not good enough to talk smack." "Kasperbauer brings nothing to the game except he got hot for a few minutes." The list goes on and on. The video feed was very good but the announcing was likely the worst I have ever heard. They simply did not do their homework before the game and did not understand the Coyote players and style of play. It is their feed and they can call it like homers as much as they want but I have never heard anything like this today.

Somebody find out who the Pioneer Vision color guy was. What a dirt ball. Completely lacking in class and sportsmanship. This. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. He called Hunter "unskilled" so many times I lost track. And then, when things started slipping away in the second half, he called Casey and Tyler "untalented." It's not unusual for a little homerism and assertions of a talent advantage, but this guy (I believe his name is Rob Lewis from 94.1) acted like a child and threw a tantrum as his obviously superior Pioneers completely "beat themselves" against the lowly "South Dakota State Coyoteees." It was the most unprofessional broadcast I've heard, and it's not even close. Great team effort from our guys! We let one go at home, but we got it back on the road.

Great road win Yotes!! A USD official really should talk to DU about the unprofessional color guy. Can't believe DU would want that to continue in the future!

1.) Why was Denver's coach called for a technical foul? 2.) I missed the broadcast, but anyone worth their salt covering sports in the Summit League/Upper Mid-West should know the difference between USD and SDSU by now.
That's too bad. It sounds like this guy not only came off as jerk, but a woefully unprepared one at that. If it was as obnoxious as stated, hopefully someone has a copy of this broad-cast and can share it with the Summit League Office.
