Pioneers are 7-7 and coming off a seven-point win over visiting SDSU. You'll recall that we split with Denver during the regular season last year, before losing to them again in forgettable fashion during the SL Tourney. When we visited Denver last season, Brett Olson scored 30, including six threes. The long ball remains a strength for the Pioneers. Perimeter defense will be key today. Vegas has us 10-point dogs.

It will be a contrasting style from Omaha for sure. Denver likes to slow it down. The Yotes might want to speed this one up a bit but either way there will be alot of possessions on the Yotes side of the court where they will have to play defense for much of the shot clock. I am going with the Pioneers 66-61.

Denver needs a timeout as it is 10-2 Coyotes. What a start to this game. Lets keep it up. No lead can be large enough so lets keep the foot on the gas.

Denver leads 34-29 at halftime. The Yotes road the hot start for quite awhile but Denver has slowly taken over the game. It's going to take discipline and good shot selection to try to steal a win.

42-33 Denver. It's "suck it up" time for the Yotes. Just staying close could be tough.

46-45 Denver as the Yotes continue their push. 13:00 to go in the game.
Kasperbauer for 3 and the Yotes lead it 48-46. A 15-2 run by the Coyotes. You can hear a small pocket of Coyote fans making a little noise on this run.

Larson for 3 and it's a 18-2 run. 51-46 with 11:17 to go.
Denver coach T'd up. Kasperbauer makes just 1 free throw. Now a Kaserbauer 3 and it's a 22-2 run.
Yotes steal but Kaperbauer missed a three. 55-46 Coyotes. What a turnaround. This is like the Omaha game in reverse.
Lets hope the Yotes can keep it up.

Denver on the line for a 1 and 1. The run is now 28-4.

Coyotes are now taking the air out of the ball. It may be a little too soon for that. Now Denver scores and it's 61-52. Now D.J. Davis to the line for 2. First no good, second good. 62-52. Lets go Yotes.

Burnett to the line for 2
first good second good
64-52
Byrd for 3 and it's 64-55. Larson misses and Denver get it but misses a three.
Now the Yotes miss, Denver gets tied up. Jump ball and it's Coyote possession.
Kasperbauer just nailed a bomb. 12 point lead less than 4:00 to go.
how about these road warriors. They are used to this with all the road games they have played to date. Maybe this is just no big deal but it doesn't feel like it's no bid deal. This is huge so far.
