The Jacks win it 86-76. Very impressive win as the Jacks were pretty much in control from the beginning. They were hot the whole game from outside. I didn't think the Rams defense was very impressive but they didn't seem to have a big letdown from not making the tournament. I am sure some will disagree with that but the Jacks just played well overall.
Pretty good night for the Summit overall.

I didn't watch the game, so take what I say with a huge sprinkle of salt, but a State fan that I work with said it was pretty obvious that CSU didn't care about the game and that they were pissed about the NCAA snub. I got a similar impression from reading Matt Zimmer's article about the game. Regardless, this is a great win for State and the Summit League.

The Argus picked up a story from a Fort Collins newspaper.

They may not have cared, but they did not impress me either way. If Marshall takes over games and is hot like that SDSU can beat some very good teams. CSU looked lost on the free throw line. Great win for the Jacks and the Summit League.

I didn't watch either, but could definitely see Colorado State not taking the game seriously. That's just going to happen in the NIT from time to time. Certainly an impressive win on paper.

SDSU could have played that same card if they lost. SDSU didn't make the NCAAs and had a heart-breaking loss in the conference championship game. Credit to Nagy and his staff for having the team ready and motivated.
CSU wasn't prepared. They went under screens and left 3 point shooters wide open. They had a really poor game plan. They did however shut down Larson. He didn't have shot attempt until the 2nd half. Not showing up, not caring, and feeling sorry for yourself because a team got snubbed from the NCAA tournament is poor excuse for losing in the 1st round of the NIT. CSU players and coaches gave all the credit to SDSU. If teams can't take post-season basketball games in March seriously, their is something wrong with that team and coaching staff.

I watched the entire game and SDSU simply outplayed them. In every category except maybe rebounding but even then they never made it easy for CSU. When Parks, Marshall and Bittle shoot like they did last night, they will be a tough out for anyone. Larson's backup, I think his name is Thiessen, showed me more last night than I saw in all 3 of his Summit tourney games. If he continues to progress, he will be a solid player as well.

Cant believe im saying this, but I agree with Sandakota..? I watched up until about 10 minutes left before I called it. Maybe it was the crown I was drinking, but I thought SDSU outplayed CSU in most facets of the game. Bunnies looked like they wanted it more and Marshall was "sensational baby".

In the women's ncaa tourney SDSU falls to Oregon State 74-62
In the NIT
Jacks fall at Vanderbilt 92-77, the game was basically tied with 9:00 left and than Vandy hit like 4 or 5 threes in a row and that was ballgame. Live by the three which is what the Jacks have been doing, die by the three at the hands of the Commodores.

WBI
Oral Roberts 64 at Louisiana Lafayette 65 FINAL
Oral Roberts led by 12 at half
WNIT
Northern Colorado 60 at UCLA 74 FINAL, that should put a smile on some faces after what happened to the Coyotes in Greeley.
