Yotes blow 21 point lead and lose 79-73. Gotta give credit to the refs, can't have a 35-3 disparity in free throw attempts without them. One quarter of the way through conference play and we have three duds and a win over a team who was missing their best player and is currently 0-3. Fantastic.

Yotes were on a roll with 15 minutes left on offense then we tried to stall take shots with 5 seconds left which totally messed up the O and we also had a ton of turnovers the last 15 minutes to help Omaha get back in the game. Give them credit they made almost every free throw and they had a huge number of attempts. Time to rally Yotes!!

The Yotes didnt really goto a "stall" offense. It just so happened that if (big if) the yotes got the ball past half court, their was only 15 seconds on the shot clock by the time we were ready to initiate an offense. Give some credit to UNO for the pressure and hitting big shot after big shot. With that being said, extremely tough loss to swallow. The Yotes played an amazing first 25 minutes on the defensive end, which translated to some easy baskets on offense. The last 15 minutes of the game was unbelievably bad. Every team we play in the summit the rest of the way will have a full court press/half court trap ready so we better figure that out. Our guards simply struggled with the basic principles of breaking a press. With the expereinced guards we have, when a team presses us, we should be making them pay with 2 on 1's and easy layups, not the opposite. Lastly, yes the refs were terrible, and there were 2-3 really really bad calls that cost the yotes in the last 3-4 minutes, but it shouldnt have been close enough to matter.

golfingyote hits the nail on the head. We have continued to demonstrate trouble breaking the press. DJ and Shy are a little green for that scenario from what I have seen so far. Get them inbounding the ball to Tre Norris and/or Kasey. Far more experience with those two right now. I trust Coach Smith and his staff are working diligently on this already so my two cents are worth just that. =) UNO loss was definitely frustrating and none took it harder I am sure than Coach Smith and his guys.

On the bright side, we shot 100% from the free throw line against Omaha! Granted, we only had 3 attempts. Just throwing this out there, our previous low FT attempts in a game was 12 (at Fort Wayne).
