Just letting you guys know you played a basketball game last night. You beat the mighty York College Yorkies (actually the Panthers), an NAIA-D2 team, 82-55. Congrats on the big win.

Yes, I watched the game last night. It was a stop gap to get a game in between the week long time off between the next conference game. It was a pretty sloppy game. York is 20-8 for what it’s worth (not much) and this game was over before it started. There was a nice oop dunk by Flack and a couple dunks by Jech as well. USD did the same thing last year to get some game action in between the conference schedule.
Smith’s take on the scheduling of York: “I’ve never been a fan of playing non-conference games during league play,” Smith said. “But in this scenario it was really a no-brainer. Our last game was with South Dakota State on Saturday night and then the league doesn’t give us another game until this Sunday. We wouldn’t have played a game for eight days.”
Too bad we couldn’t have played Augie (not smacking). This was basically an exhibition game to get the team more playing time. I did not think it garnered a new thread.
