You can believe anything you want. I'm just telling you what I know. It doesn't matter to me if you believe it.

Could be Nidaros. He got banned from the bunny board shortly after deleting himself here. He needs someplace to share all of his wisdom.

You can believe anything you want. I'm just telling you what I know. It doesn't matter to me if you believe it. It all sounds reasonable to me. If a head coach is in serious consideration for a new job, it isn't a situation taken lightly. It takes up all of your time to weigh all the pros and cons of a new job. This goes for the assistant staff as well since most, if not all, would follow. It is very plausible that the staff is less available. However, that is not a sure sign of them leaving. To me, it is the time of doing their due diligence so they would obviously have less time for the players.

I agree, yotefan90. Where I would disagree is that if we're at the point in time where the pros and cons of the job are being weighed it's not a sure sign that they're leaving. If we're that far down that road, she's gone. Power conference, alma mater, big pay bump. It's a no-brainer.

Your comments seem to be based on your opinion and not fact. You act like an insider or something which I seriously doubt you are. Even if it does get the point of weighing an offer it's not a guarantee that she would take the Nebraska job. My money would be on her taking the Huskers job but you never know. There are a lot of big time reasons for her to stay. USD is a school on the rise and who knows maybe Amy prefers the small time town to a bigger city as in Lincoln. You just never know, so don't act like this is already a done deal because it is not. USD could step in an up the ante to keep her.

What about anything I've said makes me sound like a disgruntled Jacks fan? As for it getting to the point that she would turn down an offer from Nebraska to remain in Vermillion? Come on. Join reality.

I understand your point, cityleaguesniper. It certainly can be exactly what you are saying, but at the same time, it could be not as far along as you think. If Amy had an interview and it went very well, it still doesn't mean she was offered the job and is now mulling it over. She would certainly be using this time to contemplate and prepare if she intends to accept. While this is going on, UNL could be interviewing several more candidates, one of which could end up being offered the job. I have absolutely no inside information on this, just trying to think through all the possibilities. I would have to admit that your scenario would have a high probability to it, though.

She could definitely leave if the offer is presented to her. I guess I am going to take a guy who registered yesterday only to say she's gone with a grain of salt.

Yeah, I'd rather be on the side of the guy who says there are "a lot of big time reasons for her to stay." And then goes on to list all those reasons as USD being a school on the rise and Williams possibly, maybe, hopefully preferring a small town to a city.

Even if she is at the top of their list, it's a high profile enough job that carries a hefty salary so the AD will likely go through an interview process before offering someone. On the other side of that,if she is interested she will wait for them to complete said process. In the mean time, Coach Williams,USD, and Nebraska would be foolish to comment on it.

You can believe anything you want. I'm just telling you what I know. It doesn't matter to me if you believe it. We've got no reason to doubt your information, IMO. Thanks for bringing it to the board! Hope you stick around and argue with us some more. You have to admit, though, that your first post sounded just a little like a one-and-done trolling. I can see now that's not what you are.

What is your point of being here other than to generally rub it in our faces that our coach is in the running for another job and may leave. What is your point of this message as well. Of course if she gets offered she may take the offer. That is not news but you act like this is a done deal which it is not just yet. We don't know for sure if she will get the offer and we don't know for sure that she will accept an offer. Odds are if she gets the offer she will go to Nebraska but you nor I know what is going on inside her head. She may not know herself at this point. Just because I draw out compelling reasons for her to stay doesn't mean that the odds are that she will. By the way what school did you graduate from or route for and what are your inside sources that says it's a done deal that she is gonna leave.

I'm not rubbing it in anyone's face. I'm pretty sure Williams leaving impacts people I know and love a little bit more than it impacts you. My "sources" aren't telling me it's a done deal. But their feelings combined with everything I'm hearing and reading out of Lincoln/Omaha make me think it is. If it's not, we're talking about a Hail Mary-level of fortune for USD, their players and fans. And I think it's always smarter to prepare for the 99.9 percent probability than it is to bank on the 0.1 chance.

Not worried. If AW leaves then we should all be happy for her as it is an opportunity she has earned. If/when that day comes I'm sure Herbie has a short list of very qualified candidates at the ready to contact. The USD WBB program is a good job. We've had a run of 3 successful coaches in a row, a cupboard full of young talent, and excellent facilities. USD will be fine.
