The three pointers were awesome, but it was that incredible freakin defense that won that game. It was unbelievable!

Tia Hemiler's shot landed at #2 on tonight's Sportscenter. That shot was insane and perfectly represented how things were going beyond the arc for USD. Scratch that, just saw this at #1 on Sportscenter!

Incredible game Lady Yotes!!! I think the biggest key to the game was the great Defense the Yotes played the whole game against the best 3 pt % shooting team in the country and they had a 6'5" post player too!! Then you add in a spectacular offensive performance and you have a 34 point win!! STAY HUNGER LADY YOTES FOR ONE MORE GAME!!! THE FINALS!!! GO YOTES!!!

That was one of the most amazing games I've ever watched. Not only our huge night shooting, but also our defense. So fun watching our team throughout this tournament. Still so excited that I can't sleep!
Let's come out and support our ladies one last time and pack the Dome for the SIXTH and FINAL last game!

Does anyone know what the attendance records are for basketball in the Dome? Would love to see the last game in the Dome break the record. EDIT: The men's media guide shows their record as 9,545 (how?!) but I can't find the women's figure. One of the big things on that attendance record is because they used to use those big old wooden bleachers from the student side of the dome for basketball. They would also put up a bunch of extra sections for SDSU games. Those bleachers held way more people than the seating they have on the floor now. I think this is also why some of the people were thinking some of these crowds during the WNIT games were way bigger than announced. Getting rid of those bleachers really cut down on how many people can sit down on the floor seats compared to up in the permanent seating.

Anyone who didn't get tickets yet or is interested in better seats - all unclaimed season ticket seats are set to be released to the general public today at 5.

I am guessing not many are going to let those tickets back to the public.

Congratulations to the Coyote women on the impressive win. These women can get the first banner to hang in the new arena by winning the WNIT.

I never missed a men's or women's home basketball game in 7 years at USD and have been to as many as I can make happen since graduation. Can say with 100% certainty that last night was the loudest and most intense I have ever heard the Dome for any basketball game. I sat with some long-time Coyote fans that are now in their 80s and they agreed and were so proud of this team. I also sat next to my buddy who is a former Yote baller and thought he was going to come unglued. Just awesome. Coyote great Ben Ries was behind us and was cheering his heart out too, just beaming the whole game.
It has been said on this board for a long time, hell, even back when it was just a handful of us, that all we need to do is WIN and good things will happen. Well, all this women's team has done is WIN and guess what, people are coming out of the wood-work. The DOME was absolutely electric from ten minutes before the opening tip-off to the final horn. Thank you to President Abbott, David Herbster, David Williams, and the rest of the athletic department for all you have done to support this outstanding group of young women.
Also, a HUGE thank you to Chris Kaufman and cohorts in the Coyote ticket office. These guys are busting their butts and have been doing a fantastic job. I have no voice this morning and could not fall asleep last night. Worked out with some former Yote basketball and football guys this morning and everyone was talking about the game. Most are planning to be there Saturday. With that in mind, I have heard that Herbster and company are looking for more bleachers to move in to accommodate as many people as possible. Weather on Saturday is supposed to be sunny and 70 and I know lots of people are talking about tail-gating.
Would love nothing more than to walk in to the new arena and see a Women's NIT Championship trophy in the trophy case. One more game. Go Yotes!

Congrats on the huge win last night. I watched on Midco and you guys played a pretty much flawless game. Was great to see the excellent turnout, hopefully you can add another couple thousand for the championship game. Hope you guys win it all, would be a great feather in the cap for the league and hopefully help both of us in the future come NCAA selection time.

Yotefan is 1000% correct about Chris Kaufman and staff busting their butts through this run. Hearing how late people were buying tickets after the game last night has me feeling for the guy, I hope Herbster does something real nice for the guy once this is all over.
We could definitely use those extra bleachers. I looked at what tickets remain available just now and my jaw dropped. As impressive as last night's crowd was it looks to be easily topped on Saturday.
