I would like for everyone to look at today's ( Wednesday ) Sioux City Journal. There are two front page stories on USD athletics. One is on tonight's women's game with Oregon, and one on the start of spring football and the start of the Nielsen era. They are great stories and the author is a man named Barry Poe. I've known Barry for over 30 years as he got his start in that business at a weekly small town newspaper in my hometown back in the late 80's.
I bring this up because this is a prime example of what I have been talking about regarding Sioux City being ripe to be a player in USD sports....all the way from press coverage to increased fan base plus a home for future high school athletes. We are ignoring this market in my opinion. I do believe our administration should cater more to these people and minimize the efforts made with the media in Sioux Falls. The more we press, the worse it gets.
If you would consider doing such a thing, email Mr. Poe at the SC Journal and thank him for his coverage of USD sports. I think they would love to be more involved. SC is 35 miles from vermillion, 3.5 hours from Iowa State, and half a century from Iowa City. They just might be eager to latch on to an up and coming D1 program 30 minutes from their back door. Between Barry and Jeremy, that's the bulk of who carries us. I appreciate them very much.

Good call YF. I always liked what I read in the SCJ and if they're willing to go all in on USD I'm more than happy to show my support.

Thanks for the heads up on the Journal giving the Yotes some due attention. I sent a quick email thanking him for the coverage.
