This is the last game of the 5 out of 6 at home stretch and it really has to be a win. 4-2 was really the minimum the team could afford and that can be accomplished against Denver. The Coyotes are a 2.5 to 3 point favorite depending on the odds maker. Other than NDSU, Denver is probably the second hottest team in the conference. Obviously the execution and performance level has to be significantly above the WIU game to be a likely win. I see a very close one most of the way but the home court and crowd will play a factor towards the end of the game and I see a 73-70 Coyote victory. I would probably go 65-35% Yotes if I had to put a percentage on the chance of one team winning out right over the other.

Critical game today! A win would cement out 2nd place status. We have the talent to do it. Just gotta hit those free-throws.................
Maybe the men should train with the women?

Sparks and Hagedorn will need to play well today - on both ends of the floor. Amigo from DU can score, so they need to make him work on D. This is a much tougher matchup w/o Flack in uniform.

We managed to pull off the win at Denver without Flack. In fact, we did it without Hagedoorn too given that he only played 1 minute at Denver. Vegas says Yotes by 2.5. Very critical game for us. 2nd place and the tiebreaker with Denver are on the line. Win and we obviously are guaranteed the tiebreaker, lose and Denver likely gets the tiebreaker due to their win over NDSU. It wouldn't exactly clinch the 2 seed for us yet but it would trim the competition!

Can we use the entry fee UND is giving the Summit to pay for some officials? I saw a guy for Denver carry the ball for 5 or 6 steps today with no call. Unacceptable.

A good win and really a must win today. Now we are upon the gauntlet and now the Coyotes will really prove how far they have come. Realistically with a gun to my head I would take a 1-2 record over the next 3 games. It will be very hard to sneak out 2 of the next three. The Coyotes secured one tie breaker now over Denver and could do the same against Omaha and/or Fort Wayne. The Coyotes have been playing solid basketball but I still think they are going to need to up their level to be able to continue to win the way the schedule will play out with all the difficult games that lie ahead.
So with 7 games left I think 4 wins probably keeps the Coyotes in the top 3. 5 wins puts 2nd place into the likely category and an incredible 6 wins would be pushing on the door for a conference title if one of those comes in Fargo. Anything less then 3 and things get dicey quickly especially with how tight the middle of the conference is.

Thank God Flack was back, just in time. I don't see how we get that win without him. We sure do play a lot of close games. We are going to have to figure out a way to sneak some games on the road. Everybody in the conference seems so evenly matched. There is not a first round matchup that I would by dying to have right now. I don't think any of the seeds will be settled going into that last week, besides maybe NDSU at the #1. I have a feeling that anything from 2-7 will be at play for us going into the last week. Hopefully we can figure out a way to still get good production out of Hagendorn now that Flack is back, we sure didn't get it last game. Peterson played one of his better games though. He does a lot of little things that go unnoticed.

Hegedorn was a little hesitant to shoot in the paint that game, even when open. He seemed indecisive. More of a psychological thing, In my opinion. Anyone else see that?

After having a couple of good games where he was more aggressive, he seems to have slipped backwards just a bit. My personal opinion is that it's a confidence thing. If he makes a few plays and has some success, he's not quite as tentative going forward. I'd like for him just to react a little quicker and be confident in his abilities.
