We are soooo spoiled with the coverage that Midco provides... Hate watching and listening to these other subpar commentators.

I am calling it now. The Coyotes will beat Omaha easily in Sioux Falls and take down Western Illinois by double digits in the rematch. The Coyotes played pretty well but they need to get out on their shooters. The crowd in Sioux Falls will help the defensive intensity. This is a classic don't want to try to beat a good team 3 times.

Last time USD was the 4 seed, they went dancing. The Summit tourney is so wide open that anything can happen.

I think it is cheating for you guys to be adding secret weapon players this late in the season.

One of my quotes from an earlier post: But lets be honest, when you are watching a game that is being played at the other teams place, you probably should expect a slight bias towards the home team. I don't have a problem with that unless the announcers start complaining about calls, etc. I honestly think the Midco Sports Net games on ESPN three are pretty well done. If you don't think so, listen to someone like the Western Illinois guy for like 2 minutes.... Did I lie? That guy is painful to listen to! Gotta love that he can't even read a program...

I don't blame Coach P for getting that technical one bit. She could have got T,d up any number of times during this game. Hats off to her for maintaining her composure as long as she did. Two veteran coaches in a row get worked up enough to blow their stack and get called for a technical in tightly contested games on their home court.A coincidence?....ya,OK. I particularly can't see reversing calls based on crowd reaction to it,or calling a foul after a ridiculous amount of time after it supposedly happened,a delayed call seemingly based soley on the outcome of the play.A Coyote took control of the ball while dribbling it while on her knees to avoid the travel call she got up,dribbled around the defender and made a difficult layup......THEN the whisle blew and she was called for double dribble, the whole time lapse based on wether or not she made or missed the layup it seemed.A ridiculously delayed call, very obvious to anyone whose even remotely intellectually honest. EDIT:I looked again, guess i was wrong about Arens making the basket, she missed, and when the whistle was blown,a lot earlier than I thought too.Not quite as bad a call as I first thought.Still a bogus delayed traveling call though, because she beat her man and was headed in for a layup.

I watched the last quarter of the game on ESPN3. I am not suggesting the officials are biased, but they are not qualified to be officiating games of this importance. The fake traveling call was embarrassing. The players deserve better.

Lady Yotes didn't play a very good game but still hung tough. Their little play maker guard #2 got two really early fouls in the first Q and never left the game. We should have attacked her every play and screened her. She finally picked up 2 more fouls with the last real late, but without her they'd be lost. The other thing with her you've got to know she is going to drive the basket 8 times out of 10 and not let her by (which I know is easier said than done). But if we meet them again I believe we'll win and play her much better!! Go Yotes!!

To make it worse, John Thayer even told them how to pronounce Arens before the game and they were still too stupid to say it correctly.

Our girls settled for far too many 3's against that zone. Western was playing some good defense, but we didn't attack that zone very well.
They seem to lack some situational awareness at times. Let me give you an example. What should have been the last possession of the 1st wtr with a 10 point lead and Bradley cranks an NBA 3 with 18 seconds or so left on the shot clock. She misses and Western gets a 3 before time expires. That should never happen. At worst we should run the clock down and give them no shot. Now you shrunk the lead and gave them momentum. Stuff like that drives me nuts.
Coach P was quite unhappy post T. Anyone else hear over espn3 when she said something fishy was going on? Something about both coaches should be T'd up, or now two coaches T'd up at end of games there.

YES,I heard that too.At the time I didn't know it was her,she was off camera and I just heard the audio coming through. It was quit clear as the noise level was down some....the whole gym got real quiet, she and Aron Johnston were both really upset about the calls there. She told the truth for all to hear, like it or not. Courageous woman, admire her for exposing the terrible bias against successful teams other than the necks in that place. Sioux Falls will be different. It's embarrassing the officiating gets to that level and the exposeure on Nat'l TV for the Summit League. For cripes sake spend some extra money and hire some officials that won't be an embarrassment to the Conference.
