Just looked up the RPI for all the WNIT teams. Rather than list them all, here's some analysis:

38 SDSU 41 James Madison 43 Central Michigan 46 Michigan 48 Little Rock 49 Harvard 51 Indiana 53 Virginia 54 George Washington 61 Georgia Tech 63 IUPUI

Possible path for USD: (with RPI)
UND(131) at USD(77)
USD(77) at Iowa(64)
SDSU(38) at USD(77)
Colorado State(55) at USD(77)-----Quarterfinal
Little Rock(48) at USD(77)----------Semifinal
James Madison(41) at USD(77)-----Championship
The chances of this all happening is extremely small, but would be awesome! Getting past Iowa would exceed my expectations, in truth.

As far as hosting, they look at average attendance as well as the bidding process. SDSU could go either way, so I said we would host. Deal with it. Iowa would host like Minnesota last year, I'm sure. Their average attendance last year was 4688!
Colorado State has a lower average attendance than USD, and even though Little Rock and James Madison have higher average attendance, I'm going to guess we outbid them.

Was looking at available seats for the game Thurs... They released season ticket holder seats tonight to the general public that did not purchase their seats.
There are a butt load of seats available as of tonight. Wondering why people aren't buying tickets to attend this game...?
Very sad to see even the season ticket holders are not supporting the Lady Yotes in defense of their title.

Very sad to see even the season ticket holders are not supporting the Lady Yotes in defense of their title. To be fair, season ticket holders had just hours to purchase the seats. Some holding those season tickets might not have even realized there was a game until after 5 when seats were released.

I also think it is a tough draw on the schedule - several area teams are in the state basketball tourney which starts Thursday, the first day of March Madness, both on top of the short window to purchase noted before. Someone likely already knows - when did the crowds really pick up last year in the WNIT?

Just looking at the current number of seat still available in each section... and not knowing how many students will show up... as of 9:40am Wednesday morning, it appears as though there are roughly 1480 seats sold for the women's game Thursday.

Just did an empty seat count: 3502 unsold outside of the student sections (944 there, I think) So depending on student turnout, could be 1544-2498. Similar to last year's first round.
