I've got to think Caitlin will start, but that probably bumps Ciara or Jaycee to backup. Unless we play Ciara as a forward or a 4th guard. She's 6-1.
Also, Kate and Taylor probably start at post, with Megan as the only backup. Wish we could have gotten a transfer center that could play right away. Hopefully Hannah will be worth the wait. She'll have 3 years to play.
We are a little guard-heavy and Freshman-heavy (I included Hannah as a freshman). Its possible someone could transfer out from that class. (or transfer in - Riley Cascio-Jensen?)
Is anyone surprised we don't have any 2018 commitments, yet?

I think C Duffy or Bonar will start at the 4 over Frederick. Bonar needs to improve offensively, but she is a good defender and fights hard. She could be the Bridget Arens type of player. No matter who starts the bench should be deep with some experienced players returning. With a smaller lineup, we could see more transition from the yotes. I believe WIU has a short roster with 6'1" is their tallest player and they won the league. State lost Ober and the other tallest player transferred to DWU. I'm not sure if Larson is an inside or flex type player but she will probably play the middle. Might be a lot more speed in the Summit next year.
My lineup: Arens Bradley Caitlin Duffy Ciara Duffy Bonar
Kate, Frederick, Trimboli, McKeever all to see time. I would redshirt all of the freshman unless they impress to the point you can't keep them off the floor.

I would redshirt all of the freshman unless they impress to the point you can't keep them off the floor. I wonder if C Kunzer could see time as a backup PG. With her 5'-6" height, position in HS, and with Coach P's comments I'm sure she is projected as a PG. Experience at that position is worth its weight in gold.

He are the heights that they will have- 5' 7"- Alexander, Theuninck 5' 8"- Guebert 5' 11"- Irwin, Palmer 6' 0"- Stevens, Miller, Tracy 6' 1"- Thompson 6' 2"- Larson, Flatta, Selland 6' 3"- Bultsma Bultsma didn't play much the year as a freshman. Flatta will be a senior and she didn't play much either. Larson, Selland and Stevens are all new at 6' or taller.

The average height of the girls you listed is 5'-10.69". The average height of the girls I listed is 5'-10.60". If you remove Hannah Sjerven (she won't be eligible) then we will have an average of 5'-10.36". Are all the 13 you listed eligible? Don't get me wrong, your starters will have a slight edge in height, especially your posts, but we have a decent number in the 5'-10 to 6'-1"category, especially the underclassmen. Height doesn't always equal skill. Ober and Thompson were pretty dominant as a tandem, and that was a huge advantage, IMO. I think Larson should fill in nicely for Ober, but that remains to be seen. Hopefully we will see our forwards rise up, but they are somewhat unproven. I think this will have to be a guard-led team. Not a bad thing. Just a thing.

I would give up an extra inch across the board in height for an advantage in athleticism any day and every day.

I guess Bultsma (unless she improves a lot) and Flatta probably won't play much so that would take two of SDSU's four players that are 6'2" or taller out of the lineup so they might be shorter next year. I think Selland and Larson (never seen her play) will play a lot but neither will play like Ober down low. Stevens started at PF for SDSU 3 years ago but she hasn't played the last two seasons. Will she play like the starter of old or will she have lost something not playing in games over they last two years? There are a lot of questions but SDSU should be deeper next year. They had 5 great players and Alexander this year. They didn't have much else. You take out their best player and you are down to 4 1/2 players. SDSU's 6th aand 7th players this season MIGHT be SDSU's 9th and 10th players next season.

Almost any possible scenario of potential starters leaves the Yotes with some talented and experienced players as 6th and 7th in, plus our incoming freshmen. It should be another solid and exciting team.

I don't remember Seekamp's appeal taking this long, but I could be wrong.

I looked back on here and Seekamp found out on April 20th. Macy Miller found out awhile back as well. You think either way it would be announced.

The roster for 2017-2018 isn't up on goyotes.com yet either.
