Great comeback Lady Yotes after a lack of defensive intensity in the first quarter and a hot shooting ND team. But the Coyotes hung in there, chipped away and played much better D and got the hard fought W! Very good game by Jasmine with her career high 21! And Arens is an absolute rock from the FT line!

I really thought Lamb brought a lot to the table tonight. She seems to be improving every game. Duffy did a great job guarding #34, their post player and top scorer who I thought was their best player too. Don't know if she's ever really had to guard a post that much before, but that was a big key I thought. Nice to be able to have someone who can play post defense, handle and shoot the three. Ditto for Trimboli as well.

Keep your eye on 6'-2" Junior Forward, Lexi Klabo #34 19.6 Points /game 189.6 Rebounds /game 83.0 Blocked Shots/game 1She is also pretty good at drawing fouls: 87 total free-throw attempts (8.7/game) (#6 Nationally) 782.8% Free-Throw shooting 100%Updated with game results. Looks like we kept her slightly below her average stats. She is an all-conference player, so I call that encouraging.

UND has been a very good rebounding team, and we have struggled there a little. UND averaged 44.8 reb/game. 35
USD averaged 33.2 reb/game. 18 If there are a couple of weaknesses they have that we can exploit, I'd say 3-point shooting and turnovers: They are allowing 34.8% from the arc; we are shooting 34.1% on the season, and 39.1% in the last game. 25% They are forcing 15.5 turnovers/game; we are committing 14.5, and only 11.8 in the last 4 games! 7 They are committing 17.0 turnovers/game; we are forcing 17.1, and 18.5 in the last 4 games! 22 updated with game results. They killed us on the glass, and arc shooting was a little cold, but.... Our assist/turnover was 16/7!!! compared with UND's 13/22. That was critical in this game IMO.

Kate, Jaycee and Taylor were a combined 0-for-8 in that game. Had to overcome that adversity as well as UND's sharp shooting. Off-nights will happen for a team that relies too much on the 3. (not that we do)
Question for those that have watched most of the games: I noticed an interesting strategy on offense last night. At times the players would kind of cluster and form a "traffic jam". At first I thought it was just poor movement and coordination, but it was usually followed by the "outside" player shooting it. Do you guys think it was intentional or just bad communication/movement? Have any of you seen it from this team before?
