I have such mixed feelings about tomorrow. On one side it is hard to let the guard down with how many times Coyote fans have been disappointed when facing the Jacks at the Summit Tourney and in football etc. I just can't rid that feeling of impending doom every time we face them. It is almost like we need a 30 point lead with under 10:00 left to really feel like we are going to win. Are the Coyotes going to get a fair shake with the calls this time. Are we truly going to enact revenge from last year. Are the Jacks going to go 18 out of 30 from 3 point land and make it nearly impossible to win hitting crazy shot after crazy shot. I really feel like the Coyotes are the better team head to head and they play a style that can be trusted a little more in a big game. On a neutral court I would take the Yotes but the Jacks feel like the Denny is their's and the Coyotes are really going to have to take it if they are to reach their goal.
This would be like a dream come true for me personally as a fan of the team for years. I have always kind of thought it would be cool if USD would be in the NCAA Tourney, the Big Dance. Now the Coyotes actually have that chance which they have never had before. It's going to be a very emotional day tomorrow win or lose.
I really like both of our teams win or lose but I guess if I had to take one over the other I would edge towards taking the men's berth as my first choice. They have never been there before and we never know the status of coach Smith because ya never know which season could be his last as a Coyote coach. I don't really like Eminem but coach Smith quoted him in one of his interviews to him mentioning the song and the phrase from the song Lose Yourself "You better lose yourself in the music, the moment You own it, you better never let it go You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow This opportunity comes once in a lifetime". There are seniors that for them this is their last chance. We don't know how many Coyotes Fans will not be around this time next year. Lets go and get this thing Coyotes. We just have to do it. Let the Gods be on the Coyotes side for once against these guys.
For the Women, I really think Dawn will be here at least a small handful of years. I think they will make more NCAA tourney's and it's probably more of a matter or when rather than if. I want them to win badly as well so it would be great if we didn't have to make a choice.
OMG the butterflies are already brewing for tomorrow.

This entire game comes down to the refs treatment of daum. If they allow him to go over the back and lower his shoulder you will lose guaranteed.
All of BisoNation is cheering for the yotes

Expect Geu to transfer back home next year and attend either SDSU or USD. Like it or not, Summit basketball is beginning to look a lot like the old NCC. Dominated by the two South Dakota schools.

I am giving our Men's team a slightly better chance than our women's team to make it in, but I would love to see both!

Opening line has Yotes by 1.5, ESPN gives us 60.1% odds. I really think we are going dancing.

Craig Smith and the Coyotes have been planning for this moment since the extreme disappointment they went through a year ago. This has been a motivating factor all off season and all in season long. I think Craig Smith has been implementing a plan with how he manages his team just for this very moment. The way he uses his bench, the way he has stressed being a team that can play multiple styles etc. I wonder if the Coyotes might have saved a wrinkle or two just for this very game. I would not mind seeing the Coyotes use a full court press from time to time just to make the Jacks have to work out there and maybe to get a couple of turnovers and easy baskets. Tonight we get to find out between Smith and Otz which guy is the best strategic coach. The Jacks have really not been preparing for the 3rd game in 4 days situation just because of their rotation. It can be debated how much it will or will not make a difference. It simply might not matter but IMO there are so many little things that the Coyotes do better and I think the motivational edge will be with the Yotes even if the crowd is two-thirds for the Jacks. There will be enough Coyotes fans there to balance is out a bit. I am taking the Coyotes by 10 tonight. One last thing I want to add. If the Coyotes get a double digit lead in this game, kind of like last year, they need to stay aggressive. There are times when it is natural to have a let down when having a big lead. The Coyotes do not want to give the Jacks even a prayer in front of this crowd. They have to look at this game as 40 minutes of fury and to value every minute out there like it is the last minute of the game.

When that mouth breather falls on ndsu players back and they call it on the ndsu player then screw off. Between Natalie Wolters fake head injury every dribble and Daum over the backs, the bunny turds have been embarassing. NDSU basketball still superior with 1 Big Dance win (youre welcomwle for the millions in big dance money) & playing top 10 Kansas & Gonzaga close in ncaa games while your team gets exposed without your summit refs Geu can leave, all he does is party anyways, Morningside or USF for him Yotes by 10 tonight 76-66. Write it down

NDSU used to have players like Mooney and Daum. Now, not so much. While SDSU and USD were hiring very good young coaches, NDSU were promoting a guy who should have stayed a long time assistant because he was "next in line". All is again right with the basketball world. SDSU and USD are back at the top, NDSU... well you do have one heck of a FB program.

ESPN's BPI has the Yotes with a 60.2% chance of winning. Not entirely sure what that means, but I like it.

All is right in the basketball world to a Jacks fan but if the Coyote men do not win tonight it will not be alright in any way to any Coyote Fan that cares about success. I have been a critic of the Summit League for multiple reasons but if the Coyotes get swept by the Jacks again this year (especially after going 3-1 against them in the regular season) than I really fail to understand any USD fan really being gung ho about the league. In a league not at a neutral site the Coyotes would have hosted their 4th conference tourney this year. I don't think it is about the programs not being competitive because they are but constantly having to deal with the sea of blue gets tiring for other programs. If the Jacks don't start sharing more of these tourney titles than the chatter from outside schools against the Sioux Falls site could actually get a little louder. I believe to have a good conference it has to be an equitable conference for all programs. The Summit League Tourney is not equitable at all.
