There are quite a few games that will be shown on ESPN+ this year instead of on ESPN3. For ESPN+, There is a $4.99 per month charge, but I just looked at the schedule, and there are a ton of games. Quite a few of them involve our conference opponents in their nonconference match ups, such as Western Illinois, IUPUI, North Dakota State,... There are also others involving our nonconference matchup’s, such as Missouri, Creighton, Green Bay,... The first ones I see on the schedule are scrimmages starting this Sunday. For those of you who are true junkies, craving some women’s basketball, this is a good, cheap investment.

I still resent ESPN charging for their poor streaming service. It's exactly what we had last year, but they want our money this time.

Exactly. This is ESPN’s way of mitigating their losses from more people cable-cutting. Unfortunately they know that people can live without 100 channels, but not without access to live games of their favorite teams. This strategy will piss off enough people eventually to give us better live sports ala carte options, I think....Eventually.

I just think the cord-cutting momentum will build and this will be the norm. I resent cable companies more than ESPN with the bundling and paying for dozens of channels I have never watched even one show. - I would rather pay $5 a month to get access to the wide range of games - as the service continues to improve it will be a bargain. $60 a year for access to all those live games and replays. That is less than the gas to drive my truck to one away game. Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Go and ESPN+. If there was a MidcoSN+ I would happily pay $5-$10 a month for that one too.
