Down 77-58 with 4 minutes left. This season has completely fallen apart on us.

It looks like the team has switched and put Tristan back at the point. There was still way too much standing around the arc. They just did not have an answer for the zone OR was playing. They are a very long team and we did not have answer in the paint today. The coaches will go back and work on an offensive design to get more movement.

I'm surprised we are so often being made the favorites in these games. Yesterday we were 7 point favorites. Against UNO we were 1 point favorites. We are 7-15 against the spread, one of the worst in the country. I think it's these damn odds makers that are setting me up for disappointment. I see these games that we are either favored in or a slight dog and I start thinking we will or should win. Vegas must be adjusting to how good we were against the spread the last two years, where we were one of the best teams in the country in that area. It looks like they were a little late on that.
Hopefully we can regroup and finish strong. I certainly hope we don't miss the tournament, as that would be pretty embarrassing. I would also like to avoid the 8 seed. If we can get the 6 or 7 seed then I would at least give us a chance to get to the championship. I don't feel there is anyone in the conference (besides State) that we can't beat, and hell, it's not like it would be the biggest upset ever if we beat State--although that would be a big upset. But I wouldn't consider it a huge upset if we beat anyone else, even as bad as we looked yesterday. I would rather get UNO in the first round over IPFW, so whatever seed we need to play them instead of IPFW is what I'm hoping for.

Priority 1) Make the tournament 2) Avoid the 8 seed
However, it would heal pretty much all the wounds from this and the last 2 seasons to go in as the 8 seed and send the Bunnies home with an opening round L on Sunday night.

At home similar records in a very even conference outside of state. We should win these games. With that being said we can still lock down a 6/7 seed and who knows what happens. I heard the toddfather talk about how good of a 3 point conference the summit league is. I wasn’t sure if that was a statement or excuse or the context of the statement but one of the big selling points on him is he was gcu defensive strategist and gcu was on of the top 10 3 point defensive teams in the country. So depending on how you look at it either the WAC has overall the worst 3 point shooters in the country or We haven’t bought into his defensive system, or the summit league truly has the most gifted shooters in the country, or GCU has the best home court advantage. Either way I found that comment interesting as that was a huge success story the USD marketing department talked about with Lee. Hopefully the players start buying into his defensive schemes soon.

IDK. I'm not thrilled with the lack of intensity at times, but... What transpired with the Yotes in the past 6 or 7 months is very unusual. Someone else pointed it out, and it warrants repeating: if it happened at SDSU, then Daum would have transferred last summer, Jenkins would have had a season-ending injury before the 1st game, Flatten would have been hurt/out around half the year, and almost all the role players sit with an injury at some point, except Allou (who most of us don't even know who that is). No on in their right mind would expect the same season if that all happened. Our expectations are high (and should be) but this is simply an unusual situation. But we have a style that can make teams uncomfortable and possibly win 3 games in SLT. I just hope we build a bit of momentum the last couple weeks...

Do we have anybody hurt right now? Besides obviously Hagedorn, but in terms of the current roster, do we have anybody missing?

My two takes from the ORU game is that we don't match up well with them at all physically and that we don't play well offensively vs a zone. The Titans were tall and wide bodied, possibly the most physically imposing team I've seen in the SCSC at least this season. I realize That doesn't necessarily translate into a good basketball player all the time (see Harvey, Ken), but it serves their purpose with the zone they play. That freshmen they have, Obanor is really, really good though. If they get Nzekwesi back, they could be a very tough out in the tourney, especially if someone is having an off night shooting against their zone.
