Five seniors on the first team...probably as it should be. 5 seniors, plus the 2020 POY.

Isn't the star notation for each year on the 1st team? Duffy was on it last year as well.

Zimmer has a pretty good point. This is the politically correct world of BS we live in. You’ll offend other teams if you slight them for the right reasons. What a crock.

I think she was freshman of the year, or newcomer of the year. something like that. I think her sister Caitlin won that one also in 2016.

Zimmer has a pretty good point. This is the politically correct world of BS we live in. You’ll offend other teams if you slight them for the right reasons. What a crock. I agree with Zimmer to a point. Sometimes being a role player on a great team has advantages that exceed what they would have achieved on a lesser team. Some exceptional players make all the others around them better than they really are. Like what great quarterbacks do for the receivers they throw to, for example. You could also make the argument that standout players on inferior teams could be achieving far more on a great team. Would we turn down a transfer from a player like Beatty, Mayberry, Klabo or Madison Nelson? The converse argument is that they are standout players BECAUSE the rest of their team is bad. I don't have a problem with Zimmer's picks and I don't have a problem with the winners either. Choosing to play for a great team sometimes means sacrificing individual accolades for a greater chance of championship rings. The NE Patriots are a good example, I think. Players go into it with eyes wide open. We know who the stars are on the Yotes team, and we let them know it.

I looked it up. Ciara was Freshman of the year in 2017 but not on the all-league teams. Caitlin won "Transfer of the year" (now newcomer of the year) in 2016. also: The Yotes have had the Coach of the Year four of the last five seasons. The Yotes have had the "6th woman" for each of the last three seasons (McKeever, Trimboli, Sjerven) The Yotes have had the Defensive POY for each of the last two seasons (Trimboli, Arens) Looks like Coach P has the "Depth and Defense" aspect down pat.
