83-71 Final state straight up shot better, congrats on the title. USD FG 23/71 32%, 3PT 6/27 22% SDSU FG 24/48 50%, 3PT 9/18 50% Stat that sticks out to me is USD had the rebound advantage 39-34 with the offensive reb. advantage 19-4. Couldn't take advantage of it. Some of these stats in your attachment (where did you get these?) really stand out: Theunick with the insane 7 minutes and +17! Selland, though she played well in the first two games, was a -13. SDSU was much better with her off the court. Hannah played only 20 minutes but we were a +7 with her on the court (that early foul trouble killed us with her) Lamb just played awful. Maybe the nerves? But 2-11 and a -20 (including lots of forced shots) Monica took 13 shots. Seemed like SDSU was baiting her with open looks. She's a great defender, but I'm not sure we're gonna do that great with her taking that many shots. Allison played all 40 minutes and we needed every minute to stay as close as we did Korngable had 4 fouls but we were even with her on the court. she played really hard throughout I thought McKeever with another bad night. I think her bad shooting of late (1-7 today) might be affecting her overall play

Also, do any of the people who follow the numbers know if we are still a lock for the tournament?

After she graduates somebody in Vermillion might figure out that you have to locate and stay attached to the greatest long-distance shooter in Summit history.

I thought our passing was uncharacteristically bad, as well. McKeever in particular had a few head-scratchers there. We just weren't in rhythm on offense. Maybe Duffy being gone was part of that. Bad luck. I hope her ankle is OK.

She went over for an MRI after the game. It's the same ankle she broke in high school. We'll see.

Also, do any of the people who follow the numbers know if we are still a lock for the tournament? Were we ever a lock? I think we will be OK, but the committee sometimes surprises you with some head-scratchers. As a mid-major it's hard to ever say an at-large bid is ever a lock, unless you are in the top-30 (of RPI). We will just have to sweat it out and cheer for the 1-seeds in other tournaments. The Major conferences didn't have any major upsets in the finals, so we are good there. The MAC is still going on...

It's not broken. But it sounds like they won't really know the severity of the damage to the tissue for a few days.

Those back to back 3s were gigantic in the first half. Miller's going to get hers, you kind of have to accept that, but how you just let Guebert get two catch and shoot Sunday afternoon driveway 3s there is hard to fathom. It just shouldn't happen. If she hits tough shots fine, but that has to be 1B on your scouting report. She needs to be located and hounded and, if she catches it, run off the line every, single trip.

I've been a bit pessimistic about our at-large chances since the Denver loss. See if they're willing to let a 5-loss team from a low-major conference in. I know we belong but we have for a while.

I’m really sorry we lost that game today but not because of bragging rights. This group of young ladies deserves our appreciation and gratitude for their accomplishments. SDSU played a great game and their seniors played like it. Miller is a great player and for my money appears to be a great person. She’s a competitor, and competitors compete at the highest level in the biggest games. There’s absolutely no shame in the loss. I don’t like it, they don’t like it....but that’s life.
I’m a football guy but I will tell you this group of ladies have won my heart. They are good, they work very hard and compete with integrity. To often that is lost on us as fans. I love this group from Coach P right down to the training staff and student managers. I suggest you go to the USD website and get the email addresses of our coaches and tell them exactly how you feel about them. For my money this group of players and staff represent everything that is right with college athletics.
I don’t care what seed they are, but I will bet they’re in. And I will bet they win a game. They are special special young ladies.
Thank you for a very fun season. You’re the best

Couldn't agree with this more. She's not that great at creating her own shot, but with her it's simply a case of not playing help and recover on defense and letting her get her shot. If her feet are set and she's squared up, it's going in. During that same run #2 also hit back to back three's on us too. I asked my friend who I sit with who that was and he didn't know. Damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Uncharacteristic poor shooting. BTW, FG%= 2PT+3PT. Correct, thanks. Better look at the stats. Biggest stats for me are Duffy: 2/3 and 1 board. Plain and simple, we're not the same team without her.

In my heart this game will always have an * behind it. This isn’t football and losing your best player with the score 5-4 is a killer. We were able to make it work for a while, but as soon as they switched to that zone and also the press it chamged the whole game.
Mckeever just hasn’t shot the ball well since she sprained her ankle against sdsu the first game. Monica can be streaky from 3, and didn’t have it today. Lamb uncharacteristicly struggled today. Tons of offensive rebounds but didn’t get many put back points. Just a few could’ve really made a difference.
