Just a poll to see the pulse of the board on this topic.... I'll leave it open for a month. I'm on the fence. PS: this is not a poll sponsored by any special interests. Completely my own twisted curiosity.

I really just want someone to give a reasonable explanation as to why we are waiting til Jan to even begin looking... More AD's on the market then? Same reason you might wait until the Final Four to hire a BB coach, or wait until Jan to hire a football coach? Just a guess. Even if anyone said "we won't be looking until then", I sincerely doubt that is the case. Most coaching hires start with some confidential "feeling out" inquiries and back-channel communications, and I'd expect the same might be true for AD hires.

The current NCAA landscape is a mountain of uncertainty that is changing every day. We need an AD that will spend several years navigating the wild changes that we are and will be facing. Bob has no business taking on a challenge like that this close to retirement.

Add a choice: Not relevant I would, but I'd have to delete the poll first, then re-make it. There's no option to edit the poll after-the-fact, unfortunately. Point taken, though....
