From the preview article:
The Falcons
Air Force (5-2) is looking for its fifth-straight win of the season after picking up three-straight wins at the Air Force Classic and then defeating VMI 64-54 on Nov. 22. The Falcons hosted the Summit League's Omaha as a part of the Air Force Classic and narrowly won 58-56 on Nov. 19.
Junior guard Ethan Taylor ranks first in the nation with 28 threes and is fourth in the nation with 141 points scored. He ranks in the NCAA top 10 in seven different categories and has scored 20-plus points in four consecutive games and has been in double-figures in all seven games this season.
As a team, Air Force ranks first in the Mountain West in points allowed (61.9) and blocks per game (5.3). The Falcons rank second in the Mountain West in field goal defense (38.8). Air Force has used the same starting lineup for all seven games this season.
Head coach Joe Scott is in year four of his second stint as head coach at Air Force. Scott previously led the Falcons from 2001-04 and led the Falcons to their only Mountain West title, first NCAA tournament appearance in 42 years, and a top-25 national ranking. From 2007-16, Scott was the head coach at the Summit League's Denver. Scott was the head coach for the Pioneers at the same time South Dakota head coach Eric Peterson was working as an assistant for the Yotes under Craig Smith.

Tough 1 point loss. it was there for the taking but in the end we just turned the ball over too much. Kaleb Stewart went down with a leg injury with about 4 minutes left and that took a little pop out of our offense. He appeared to, at a minimum, awkwardly hyperextend it trying to stop. It reminded me a little bit of how AJ went down, but the replay on Kaleb wasn't gruesome in any way. It looked like something everyone has done at least once if they've played basketball long enough. Hopefully its nothing more of a minor tweak because he was playing at a high level and we need his outside shooting.
This team will be very competitive in league play. I have concern about our ability to keep up with a team that can really shoot it because we just don't have that. We are solid everywhere else though once the turnover bug gets fixed.

This was probably the roughest, most physical game I've seen in a long while. The refs really let them get after each other. That said, we still had too many really inexcusable turnovers that cost us. Waiting to see the numbers on points scored by AF on 'Yote turnovers, but that will most likely be the difference. Fun game to watch though and thought we played hard just didn't quite get it done in the end. Games like this should make us better in the long run and I really, really hope Stewart is OK.
Update: points off turnovers Air Force 19 USD 2 Ouch!

Agree that this team will be competitive in the SL. If we can get our turnovers down, while still playing aggressive offensively, it will be a huge improvement. Hopefully, the remaining non-conference games will help.
I didn't have the volume on at the end, Kramer's offensive foul late, did they get him for pushing off with his arm (?), clearly he had the defender beat, and the defender was in no position to get the offensive foul call. IMHO
Hopefully, Stewart's injury is minor.
